  1. How do I get the power of 3D with the simplicity of 2D?Welcome to the Solid Edge mini-series product overviewBefore we get started, I’d like to recognize Couach Yachts in France for their development of this luxury yacht. Couach has been using Solid Edge for years and found significant productivity gains in products design. To bring CAD into reality, notice how the 3D CAD model is blended with their actual product.
  2. Hi, my name is [insert name] with [insert company] and I’m going to take you through todays mini-series. As a brief introduction, I’m the [job title] and [insert qualifications]This mini-series covers 1 of 5 events and will last about 20 minutes. You’ll will get to see our solution and hear it’s benefits from some of our customers. In case you have to drop off early, or would like to share what you saw with your colleagues, a recoding will be made available the next day. We’ll take questions at the end, so let’s get started.
  3. If you are looking to move from 2D to 3D, this mini-series will be ideal for you.Today, we’ll coverHow to accelerate the move to 3D and virtually eliminate adoption timesRemember to watch for future invitations on these other mini-series events.
  4. Let’s take a minute and refresh your memory on what synchronous technology is. Simply put it combines the best of the most popular technologies, leaving the problems behind. For example, history-based systems are dimension driven for precise control and use features for easy creation and editing. Packaged together, they become highly automated. The downside is history. Getting reliable updates requires a tremendous amount of pre-planning and once a design is planned out, models become inflexible to change. Performance suffers from as model regenerations often re-compute unrelated features. History-free systems don’t rely on a model generation, so features aren’t inter-related. While offering blazing fast performance, building intelligent models in impossible. For example, building a relationship so this hole drive that face simply can’t be defined.Solid Edge with synchronous technology incorporates the best of both worlds. Highly automated features with dimensions with unbounded flexibility and nearly instant performance. We’ll see this in action in just a few minutes.
  5. Even the industry recognizes our technology as a major advancement in 3D CADThe CAD Society has awarded Bill McClure VP of product development and Dan Staples, Director of Solid Edge development this award for their leadership in bring a revolutionary new technology to the marketplace.Solid Edge with synchronous technology as also received the Design News 2009 Golden Mousetrap Best Product Award in the Software category! This prestigious award goes out to the best and most innovative product and beat entries by its closes competitors.Solid Edge with synchronous technology also won a key award from manufacturing Business technology. Receiving the only CAD award for the “The Most Innovative Product from a Vendor” shows more and more people are recognizing our technology for its speed, power and flexibility. These are the top awards in the CAD industry, and Solid Edge with synchronous technology 2 has won them all.
  6. So how do you get the power of 3D with the Simplicity of 2D? By using Solid Edge with synchronous technology 2 for accelerating the move to 3D and virtually eliminating transitional downtimes. One way to eliminate downtime is by reusing your existing designs. You’ve already spent the time designing products so minimize product development time in 3D and reuse as much as you can. Even if your designs are done in 2D, that should not keep you from using 3D. Lowering transitional downtime can also be done with a system that requires minimal training. An added benefit with less training is lower engineering costs during both the implementation phase as well as ongoing use. One of the key ways synchronous technology minimizes training is that it’s methods are built upon many principals you already know. By using similar processes and design techniques, your investment in knowledge is preserved.
