Introduction …
 Language is an expression of human activity.
 According to Dr. Samuel Johnson “language is
  the dress of thoughts.”
 It is primarily used to dress up and send
thoughts on thin way and give substance for
  thoughts.
 Sending thoughts or idea in one or another way
                   is communication.

 vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 3
Con…
 Communication includes two parts :-
          1. Non Verbal Communication.
          2. Verbal Communication.

 Non Verbal Communication means word less
communication. It can be done through signs,
  symbols, gesture, postures, body language,
  etc.
 Verbal Communication means communication
done through words either in oral or written.

vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 4
Uses of languages.
 To dissipate superfluous nervous energy.
 To direct motion in others, both men and
  animals.
 To communicate ideas.
 As a means of expressions.
 For the purpose of records.
 To set matter in motion.
 As an instrument of thinking.
 Effectiveness of communication depends on
person’s skill in the use of language.

PROCEES OF
COMMUNICATION

vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 9
Body language
The messages conveyed by our body is Body
    Language Communication. Study of that
messages is known as kneices.Sub types of
    body language are as follows:-
 Facial expression
 Eyes, Head
 Gestures
 Body shape
 Appearance
 Posture

    vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 10
Paralanguage
‘Para’ means ‘like’ and ‘paralanguage’ means
‘like language’. Words convey their intended
meaning through paralanguage. It indicate how
  a speaker speaks.

Example:- If ‘thanks’ said with a sad face and
‘sorry’ said with a happy face, do not convey
  the right meaning.

 vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 11
Sub types of paralanguage are as follows:-

    Voice
    Proper stress on words
    Mixed signals

vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 12
Sign language
Signs and symbols convey almost 50% of what
we want to say. Sub types of sign language
  are as follows:-

 Visual signs, and
 Audio signs

vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 13
Space language
Study of communication through space around us
is known as Space language. Sub types of
  Space language are as follows:-

 Intimate space language
 Personal space language
 Social space language
 Public space language

 vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 14
Time language
Time is money. It is the thing which can never be
holded. The time which has gone, never comes
back again. Work done in time speaks a lot.
People who value their time high, are also
  valued highly by others.

Thus, it is such type of language which should be
used each & every people for a better life.

vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 15
Thoughts of an expert for the languages
        According to ‘Albert Mehrabian’, the
  researcher of Non Verbal Communication,
Verbal symbols carry only 7% of meaning, while
38% is carried by Paralanguage i.e. our use of
voice and how we say something and 55% is
  carried by Body language.

 vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 16
The percentage have been questioned,
but there is argument on the point that the
major burden of conveying meaning is
         carried by Non Verbal Communication.
There fore Sign along with Body and
         paralanguage is also very important.

vaghela_manisha13@yahoo.com BY:MANISHA VAGHELA 17
Conclusion
Over all we can conclude that,
 Without language communication is not
  possible.
 Language is considered both Verbal as well
  as Non Verbal Communication.
 Language can be in written, in oral, in signs
or symbols, in space, in time, etc.
