GROWING IN FAITH AND DISCIPLESHIP FALL 2015
THAT MAN IS YOU!
The upcoming session of TMIY will have two
separate groups. The first, led by Mike Nuzzo, will
be delving into a brand new program called “The
Spirit of Nazareth”. This program will help
integrate the 7 Covenants of TMIY into issues men
face in today’s world, while also helping men
discern the will of God in their lives. This group
meets weekly on Thursdays beginning September
10 from 6:00-‐‑7:30 a.m. There is no fee to join.
The second group, led by Rich Mich, will begin the
next series of the TMIY program titled “Revelations
of the Father”. In this series, men will consider the
relationship they have with their children. The fall
semester will focus on the reality of fatherhood,
while the spring semester will consider the moral
environment confronting youth today. This group
will meet on Saturday mornings beginning
September 12th from 6:45-‐‑8:15.
To join either of these programs, stop at the
information table after Mass, or simply show up!
Don’t forget to save the date for the next Men of
Christ conference, which will be held on Saturday
March 12, 2016.
Why BEHOLD?
Perhaps you’ve seen the advertisements around St.
Anne for the BEHOLD sessions. But why should you
come? BEHOLD allows individuals to strengthen
their personal relationship with Christ through
prayer and song. Participants have the opportunity to
hear an inspirational talk, worship to uplifting music,
and focus on being in the presence of Jesus. If you are
interested in attending, we encourage you to attend
the next BEHOLD session on Saturday, September 12,
2015 from 7-‐‑9 p.m.

FALL 2015 GROWING IN FAITH AND DISCIPLESHIP
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd:
Pre-‐‑K
A 90 minute Montessori program that respects the
mystery of the rich interior life of the youngest
child. Unique materials and lessons help young
children to “fall in love with Jesus all by themselves.”
Child Formation: Grades K-5
A 60 minute offering either before or after Mass, this
program provides a strong faith-‐‑based curriculum
centered on primary teachings of the Church, Scripture,
prayer, and service to others. Teachers use a variety of
materials, including Our Sunday Visitor Text, music, crafts,
and games, to engage children as they journey with Jesus.
Preparing for First Reconciliation
and First Eucharist: Grade 2
A great learning experience for parents and their
children. Preparation consists of several mini-‐‑retreats
over the course of the year. Children learn about the
beauty of the sacraments as they prepare to receive
Our Lord, and parents deepen their understanding of
the sacraments while supporting their children.
Children must be enrolled in formation (either at St.
Anne or in a Catholic Grade School) in order to
participate in this preparatory class.
Middle School Formation: Grades 6-8
A continuation of the Child Formation program, the
Middle School classes meet twice a month, where they
continue to deepen their understanding of our faith and
grow in the love of Christ.
An Overview of Children’s Programs
Youth Ministry: Grades 6-‐‑12
Setting hearts on fire for the Lord, Youth Ministry brings
youth together in a fun and exciting way. Providing
Retreats, Field Trips, Adoration, Friday Evening
Gatherings, Everyday
Life Groups, Mission
Trips, Steubenville
Youth Conference,
Worship and Service
opportunities, Youth
Ministry allows our
youth to grow, share and witness, creating lifelong
relationships with one another and with Christ.
St. Anne Parish is a community devoted to life-‐‑long growth in faith. In keeping with
our commitment to life-‐‑long faith formation we seek to partner with parents in the
Christian formation of their children. We pray together at every Baptism that parents
be their child’s “first and best of teachers.” We also pray that we as a parish will be
there to support “these parents in their Christian duty.” With our Faith Formation
offerings, we seek to partner with parents to enrich the faith learned in the home and in our weekly
worship at Sunday Mass.
Confirmation Preparation:
Grades 10-‐‑12
During confirmation, candidates will develop a closer
to relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer,
scripture, and service. They will begin a life-‐‑long
discipleship, learning to grow in the faith. We use
Matthew’ Kelly’s
Decision Point
program, along with a
variety of enrichment
including guest
speakers,
prayer/reflection,
games, activities.

GROWING IN FAITH AND DISCIPLESHIP FALL 2015
"ʺGRACE has made a huge
impact in my life. It has
brought me closer to God,
closer to the Church and
closer to a fantastic group of
women!"ʺ
~Joey Binder
"ʺGRACE has provided a
new more intimate group
of friends -‐‑-‐‑ true friends
that encourage, challenge
and support another.
This is my one day that is true to my schedule -‐‑-‐‑
I don'ʹt miss it."ʺ
~Denise Ehr
"ʺGRACE has changed my life in
a positive way. The isolation
that I have felt as a special needs
mother is very great. GRACE
allowed me to dig out from
under the weight of loneliness
to share my trails and triumphs
with other women of faith. What
I like most about GRACE is the friendships I have
made with the other women who are on the same
journey I am, to understand more deeply our faith.
We come in all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and
walks of life but we are one in our love of Christ."ʺ
~Nancy Salerno
"ʺI'ʹm a cradle Catholic,
but I continue to be
amazed at what I'ʹm
learning. I feel the depth
of my faith just keeps
increasing and that
gives me such a sense of peace in my daily life.
I really enjoy getting together with everyone,
too!"ʺ
~Janet Freng
How has GRACE Group made an impact on your life?
"ʺGRACE has helped me learn new things
about our faith, and this has built my faith
up -‐‑-‐‑ and continues to do so with prayers,
studies and speakers."ʺ

FIVE WAYS TO GROW IN FAITH &
DISCIPLESHIP
1) Pray. Talk to Jesus about everything. Pray the
rosary as a family. Go to Mass more often.
2) Read scripture, even one passage every day.
3) Join a faith group. Men’s group. Women’s
Group. Or start one with friends.
4) Go to Adoration. Takes place every Tuesday at
7 p.m. at St. Anne.
5) Do good deeds – for your family and your
neighbor.
