 Planning and writing engineering work scopes to support the Mechanical Maintenance team.
 Managed multiple projects simultaneously for the Mechanical Reliability team including Inspection
Interval Change Requests, and the 2014 Inspection Plan for all stationary equipment assets.
 Led interdisciplinary meetings with key players to ensure compliance with process inspection
requirements,
 Developed equipment purchase specifications for various types of equipment such as shell and tube
heat exchangers, and strainer baskets.
RECENT TECHNICAL PROJECTS
Capstone Design Project: Robotic Climber August, 2015 – Present
 Analyzed a design problem to prioritize constraints and specifications.
 Studied feasibility of several different options for design solution to the problem introduced.
 Iteratively designed a robot in collaboration with four team members, and faculty and industry sponsors.
 Sourced specific components through discussions with vendors and the industry sponsor.
Fourth Year Design Project: HVAC October, 2015 – December, 2015
 Analyzed given floor plan, geographic and usage information for a modern home.
 Collaboratively designed a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system for the floor plan.
 Assembled the finalized data to provide a comprehensive solution for the HVAC needs of the theorized
customer.
Third Year Design Project: Sheet Metal January, 2015 – February, 2015
 Designed and built a small DC motor from household items.
 Creatively problem solved, minimizing cost of materials and maximizing the reliability of the motor as much as
possible.
Third Year Design Project: Geared System January, 2015 – April, 2015
 Designed a gear system to specific dimensions, factor of safety, and within specific material and size
constraints.
 Utilized various skill sets learned through our Design of Machine Elements course as well as other courses
(such as Materials Science and Manufacturing Processes courses) and independent research.
Third Year Design Project: Design and Manufacturing September, 2014 – November, 2014
 Designed detailed 3D model of mechanism for random output.
 Geometrically simplified the design and assigned tolerances to coincide with team capability and machine
availability in the machine shop.
 Manufactured per design drawings with the use of various machines in the machine shop such as the lathe,
mill, drill press, and cut-off saw.
Third Year Design Project: Design of Dumping Attachment September, 2014 – November, 2014
 Researched products currently on the market for a pickup truck attachment that would simulate dump truck
capabilities.
 Designed a solution to a real world problem through problem solving technical analysis.
 Optimized multiple factors such as the mechanical advantage, capabilities, and cost of the mechanism.
