• C: Courses, any course for any need
Both organizations and individuals have to adapt to ever changing

3. Why MOOC does workWhy MOOC does work
Cost: savings in space, time and technology
Flexibility:
o Time: the user can access the course anytime (eg working hours,
in the evening, during the weekend)
o Space: the user can access the course everywhere (at the office,
at home, during the daily commute)
o Device: the user can access the course on any device (on the
laptop, tablet, mobile)
o Subject: a broad range of courses which couldn’t be provided by
a traditional training organization

“ What kind of training your multinational client ask for?
“ It varies a lot, some of them ask for marketing training, some ask for more
technical subjects, some have internal goals, some have external goals, we
usually get very heterogeneous requests”

13. The MOOS projectThe MOOS project
It is an European project started in 2015 aiming to develop the MOOC
methodology within all high schools in Europe. (Spain, Germany, Poland,
Sweden, Finland and the UK)
The implementation in Italy
I have had a conversation with Ms Doriana Papile, English teacher at
Liceo Scientifico Galilei in Pescara, who has been coordinating the
project. Students that are taking part on the project have been
selected based on IT and English language skills and motivation.
The attendant’s feedbacks has been positive
•Flexibility “I can access the courses everywhere anytime”
•English language practice
•New ways of learning
•Multimedia
•In line with current communication tolls
•Multicultural interaction

14. The MOOC tomorrowThe MOOC tomorrow
The MOOC will be more and more used in the future as long as the new
generations will approach the work environment.
At this stage a big share of private companies and PA employees have
a low level of digitalization.
For this reason nowadays the MOOC should be implemented along with
traditional training in order to be effective
Once more and more digital natives will be on the job market the
MOOC will be not only a tool in order to get prepared to the role but
also an incentive offered by companies and public organizations as a
career progression enhancer and therefore a benefit able to attract the
best resources
