Experience CV MARIO LE GRANGE
My career -
Mainly based in the television industry. As Senior Director of a great number of very
big shows for the SABC and MNET. I have dealt with a lot of different aspects, such
as marketing, sponsorships, advertising as well as managing big crews on several
occasions. After studying at the Pretoria Technicon, I worked as film editor (1983),
as asst. camera and art director, and editor of programmes ranging from sport,
magazines to documentaries. My career as director for at the SABC started in 1988
where I made programmes for Graffiti, Pot Pouri, and Sundowner ect. I also filled a
senior post at the music and variety department, where I made a lot of programs
ranging from specials and live shows to game shows. I have done an enormous
number of live shows e.g. on Debuut (Music Talent show) (13) eps) there was a live
show, The Artes shows from 1990 – 1994 were live hour programmes; CHRIS DU
BURGH was a live 2 hours special. Alida White was a 1 hour special, as was Macufe
Festival on which I was the festival and the live show director. I have done live Idols
shows and Big Brother shows, as well as being contracted to Endemol Pictures
for training on Big Brother. AWARDS RECEIVED: Brigadiers’ award Best Student

Just returned from a successful year with the NBC, where I was part of Training the
locals, TV programmes that included local sports.
2007 – 2010 Manage TV COMPANY in Kenya as executive producer.
Since 2004 I have worked in almost 16 African countries.
2016 Head of Production and channel scheduling as well as training in Malawi

After my studies I worked for 6 months as film editor.
1983 ASST CAMERA AND ART DIRECTOR FOR MIMOSA FILMS.
Worked freelance for Daan Retief, on dramas.
1984-1987 FILM EDITOR, SABC
In four years as film editor I did a lot of editing for various
programmes, ranging from sport, magazines and documentaries.

My career as director/producer for TV started at the magazine side, did
