1. Planning
The following diagrams identify the essential planning components necessary to fully
assess, plan, implement and evaluate how ACED conducts a continuous Learner Needs
Analysis and Learner Profile.
In order to provide the most effective method to create a robust and well balanced learning
experience for your team we strongly believe that a thorough process includes a SWOT
analysis, a pre-assessment and a gap analysis to further evaluate what the true needs are
for your program. A SWOT analysis will identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and
Learner threats of your current program. The Pre-Assessment will be given to a segment of your
Analysis audience to identify the desired goals and needs. The Gap Analysis will identify additional
opportunities to explore in order to build a well-designed program. This initial consultation is
essential in ensuring the successful knowledge acquisition as well as an effective and
efficient successful launch of your program.
Once this process is complete, data is gathered in several areas by utilizing the target
audience and key players to analyze and synthesize the information to hone in on the exact
needs of your audience.
Consultation
SWOT Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) are identified to provide and develop content as well as
Evaluation review content by an expert SME panel to ensure content accuracy. Which is also serves
as the review process. The Instructional Designer will further develop, design and
implement the program ensuring content is well constructed for knowledge and skill
acquisition. The following step is another mechanism to ensure quality-peer review. Once
program is finalized we Alpha and Beta Test to further fine tune any edits, revisions and
adjustments.
We are true believers of the ADDIE Model to ensure all components meet the desired goals
and objectives of the teaching plan. Via our stringent process we not only peer review but
Alpha and Beta test the developed program to edit, adjust and revise needed changes.
Finally once this process is complete launch is eminent. After a participant completes the
program is evaluated to identify future and potential updates, revisions as this would be an
Pre-
Gap Analysis ongoing process to ensure quality assurance measures for a consistent successful program.

By utilizing this effective content development process for online education, this ensures that target
audience and target areas are identified based on the learner analysis and learner profile. By honing
in on the key elements this in turn promotes that learning goals meet the intended use of the training
module.
