A hazard is a situation in the workplace
that has the potential to harm the
health and safety of people or to
damage plants and equipment.
Risk
Risk is a situation involving
exposure to danger.

1.) Physical hazards
Physical hazards can affect those who
work in extreme weather conditions or
in harmful environments. Workers that
are exposed to continuous loud noise,
radiation, sun rays and ultraviolet rays
could be at risk.
2.) Chemical hazards
A chemical hazard is any substance
that can cause a health problem when
ingested or inhaled. They include
toxins, dangerous chemicals, residue
of excess chemicals used in
processing food products.
3.) Mechanical hazards
Mechanical hazard is a exposure to
either powered or manually
operated equipment, machinery
and plant.
4.) Electric Hazard
or A shock hazard is the
potential electric shock to
a person that can be
caused by many
circumstances.

•Always full the cable connector on the handle and not hold on the cable itself.
•Always ground or discharge yourself before touching any part of the computer.
•Do not work alone so that there is someone who can take care of you in case of
accident or emergency.
•Be careful with the tools that may cause short circuit.
•Make sure that the pins are properly aligned when connecting a cablec
onnector.
•Take away any liquid such as mineral water or soft drinks near your working
area or near computers.
•Personal protective equipment is correctly used in accordance with
organization procedures and practice.
•Hazard/risks in the workplace and their corresponding indicators are identified
to minimize or eliminate risk in co-workers.

  • 35. 2.) Chemical hazards A chemical hazard is any substance that can cause a health problem when ingested or inhaled. They include toxins, dangerous chemicals, residue of excess chemicals used in processing food products.
  • 36. 3.) Mechanical hazards Mechanical hazard is a exposure to either powered or manually operated equipment, machinery and plant.
  • 37. 4.) Electric Hazard or A shock hazard is the potential electric shock to a person that can be caused by many circumstances.
