The Birmingham Mobility Action Plan (BMAP) sets out a vision for sustainable transport growth to cope with a projected 4 million daily trips by 2031, as the city develops new businesses, homes, and jobs. BMAP aims to promote economic growth through faster movement of people and goods, facilitate significant city center growth, improve accessibility to local centers and new developments, and create an integrated rapid mass transit network connecting the city, region, and beyond through improved end-to-end journeys. Next steps include further work with stakeholders on technical details, establishing costs and priorities, and developing an implementation plan.
