Physical Requirements:
 Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position including: lifting up to 50 lbs. Bending, stooping,
sitting for long periods of time, and standing to accomplish duties
 Must have sufficient visual acuity with correction to work effectively with computers and printed material
 Must have hearing acuity to hear spoken communications while on the phone or in person
Work Environment:
RN Service Supervisors will typically work in an organized professional office environment but may also work in
various client homes, with varying conditions and elements. There is exposure risk to disease, blood borne
pathogens and bodily fluids. Personal protective equipment is required for all personal care procedures when
caring for clients.

Essential Duties:
 Assessments - Assesses the physical, biophysical and health education needs of clients and the employees’
abilities and determines if they can work with clients. Gathers pertinent client data using all available
resources.
 Planning - Establishes a nursing plan of care, including pertinent measurable short and long-term goals for
clients. Make a Planning calendar to schedule On-site visitations.
 Implementation - Implements interventions appropriate to the age-specific needs of child, adolescent, adult
and geriatric home care clients. Provides client and family education for clients and their families / caregivers.
 Provides appropriate and safe interventions in emergency situations.
 Provides the unique communication needs for clients.
 Communicates with members of the health care team and other appropriate parties as necessary in the
delivery of care.
 Assist in maintaining a safe environment for clients.
 Will provide in-service training to Mastercare staff.
 Will delegate procedure to assigned employee if determined competent.
 Evaluation - Performs initial, six (6) month, and annual skills check of all assigned employees. Performs on-
site supervision of all assigned employees. Alters the plan of care appropriate to changes in the client’s
status.
 Utilizes special knowledge of age-specific differences in home care clients to recognize changes in client’s
status.
 Participates in the evaluation of assigned employees; provides assessment information; provides regular
feedback regarding performance to assigned employees
 Assist in training and orientation of new employees.
 Office tasks - Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, organizational, analytical and presentation
skills. May participate in the analysis, planning and strategic formation of Mastercare services program goals.
