Charles Wesley was an 18th century English preacher, musician, missionary, and bishop who is renowned for writing over 6,500 hymns. He realized the importance of the Bible in 1738 which changed his life and led him to focus on ensuring all people, not just those in church, knew about Jesus. Throughout his life, he relied on God, loved his family, remained calm even when criticized, and was devoted to sharing his faith in Jesus with others through preaching and hymn writing.
