7. Campus Ambassador Semester Planning Example
Date/Time Activity Location Why is this a good sampling
opportunity ?
September KU Football Game Memorial Stadium I work with the marketing department for KU Athletics and we
arrive for games at 6am and stay for 9 hours. Halfway through the
game we will all be needing an extra boost of energy.
September ZBT Initiation Week ZBT House For the whole week brothers plan and set up fun activities for
initiating new brothers. They will need a boost of energy to help
them power through the week.
September Self Improvement Month Pass out Strong Hall What better way to improve yourself by getting a boost of energy
to get more things done.
October Business Handout Capitol Federal Hall Capitol Federal Hall has an amazing base of students who are always
needing an extra boost of energy in their day.
October Homecoming Parade Massachusetts Street There is tons of students including all of Greek life and locals as
well.
October Tailgates Around David Booth Memorial Stadium KU usually plays 11am games and people are up early with
excitement for the games.
November TBD Student Union There is a lot that goes on in the Student Union. I plan to find a
good day with other events going on as well.
November Late Night in the Phog Outside of Allen Fieldhouse There will be tired people camping outside the doors starting the
night before.
November Engineering Mid Day Pass out Leep Hall The new engineering building on campus is the perfect place to
show off the product. With hundreds of tired students who stayed
up late the night before.
December Finals Library Handout Anschutz Library Finals are a time where almost every student didn’t get enough
sleep and could use a quick solution like 5-hour ENERGY.
December Destress/Prepare For Finals Week Alumni Center The Alumni Center hosts dinners, massages, and dogs to pet to help
destress students for finals week. What better event to show off
our product right before finals.
8. Campus Ambassador Pre-Event Planning Example
Provide a brief overview of the event and answer the questions below.
• Event Name: Trick or Tea
• Date: October 31st
• Who is attending: KU students
• Where is the event: Wescoe Beach
• Why is this a good fit for 5-hour? Wescoe Beach is right in the heart of campus
with thousands of students walking through everyday. There will be a lot of other
stands set up on Halloween as well. I plan to do some sort of gift bag with candy, a
5-hour Tea, and 5-hour goodies.
• Set up type: Stationary
5-hour ENERGY® or 5-hour™ TEA
Event Project
10. Event Summary
The TRICK or TEA event was a good fit for 5-hour because it gained
exposure to students with different majors around campus. The event was
very successful because of the amount of student traffic at the heart of
campus. The only unsuccessful part of this event was how early I started. For
future reference I learned that the most amount of students tend to be
walking to class around 1:30-2:00 which is when most of the product was
sampled. I think I would consider doing this event next year because
students are looking for an extra boost in energy to get their homework done
before the Halloween activities begin.
There were 216 students sampled, but many more that walked by
the table. The students loved that it was Tea because almost all of them said
they have never tried it nor heard of it. I think this event was able to get a
high exposure of the 5-hour ENERGY TEA around the KU campus. I also heard
a lot of students talk about how good it tasted and received many questions
of where they could buy it!
