Matus Bakon is a PhD candidate at the Department of Theoretical Geodesy, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava with research interests primarily in deformation monitoring via satellite radar interferometry (InSAR). After gaining experience in Laboratory of Remote Sensing (Czech Technical University in Prague), Institute for Photogrammetry and Geoinformation (Leibniz University Hannover) and Institute of Space and Earth Information Science (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) he was currently with the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Portugal, where he devoted his attention to the development of alert and monitoring system for physical structures.
