According to corporate, company and statutory requirements,
implement the relevant Safety, Health and Environment protection
policies and procedures by seeking consultation from EHS Sun Chemicals
(UK, Japanese & European Standards / Guidelines), including enforcing the
observation of all company’s operations, Environment, Health and Safety
guidelines to maintain a working environment that support work safety and
production activities.
Maintain and improve EHS systems, processes and procedures to ensure full
compliance with international standards, Indian standards, all government
statutory regulations and “Responsible Care” standards especially in
Occupational Health & Safety.
Implements procedures necessary to ensure the Safety & Environmental
protection of employees, machinery and environment in accordance with the
Safety and Environment policies of DIC e.g. Safety & Environment, HAZOP,

Risk Assessment, work permit system, safety meeting, safety inspection,
safety short talk, or local regulations. Ensure full coverage of EHS scope at
all functions on site level.
 EHS Performance report preparation (Monthly, Quarterly and
Yearly) and submission as per Corporate EHS Regulations /
Guidelines in prescribed formats – Japanese, UK & European
Standards.
 Weekly and Monthly conference call with Corporate EHS head
with Accidents / Incidents and Near Misses for further EHS
performance improvement and compliance.
 All departmental HIRA, Risk Register, Aspect & Impacts reviews
for IMS improvement and awareness of Safety audits and
training.
 Daily basis Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) training to all
contractors and Area Owners.
 Organizing Safety Audit for Foreign Delegates every year

procedures of DIC Fine Chemicals and the business unit with

 Takes appropriate action to ensure compliance with applicable
legislation, the locations EHS policy guidance through Risk
Based approach. Hands on approach to Liaison with Authorities
on Regulatory compliance. (Subject Matter expert)
 Guides location in industrial hygiene and Occupational health
Center (OHC) activities. (Workplace, Environment etc.)
 Establishes and maintains EHS training system in coordination
with HR.

management systems designed to ensure that the site is in
compliance.
 Develop, conduct, oversee and supervise EHS Training, including
external regulatory and internal management programs
 Coordinate Air/Water / Noise Monitoring as required in Statute.
 Work EHS Reporting system track progress on performance
evaluation.
 Hands on Knowledge on LOTO, Confined Space, Emergency
Plans, and Fire Safety.
 Maintaining upkeep of all Safety accessories (Fire Pump, Fire
Detection, Fire Alarms, Monitoring equipment etc.) Coordinate
with engineering team for upkeep/ Maintenance.
 Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety
policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company.
 Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the
employee / supervisor level to ensure a common and effective

 Responsible for assisting in the identification of possible losses;
evaluating the risk in such loss exposure; developing and
implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the
plan to ensure its effectiveness.
 Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in
compliance with policies and safety requirements.
 Maintain and update as needed SOPs for all safe work practices
and equipment and utilize them in the day to day training.
 Provide advice, assist, and audit line management to ensure
that effective EHS is implemented and working. Perform and
contribute to the Site Training Plans by conducting employee
orientations; emergency response training; and coordination of
modular training programs for the Operation.
