Introduction
Globally buildings are responsible for a huge share of
energy, electricity, water and materials consumption.
The building sector has the greatest potential to
deliver significant cuts in emissions at little or no
cost. Buildings account for 18% of global emissions
today, or the equivalent of 9 billion tons of CO2
annually. If new technologies in construction are not
adopted during this time of rapid growth, emissions
could double by 2050, according to the United
Nations Environment Program. Green building
practices aim to reduce the environmental impact of
building.
Environmental Friendly Building, is referred to
as sustainable construction or green building,
proposes various possibilities of reducing the
environmental impact of buildings
Environmental-friendly: Ecological + friendly
( ecological : not being harmful to environment )
(Friendly : Helpful)
Environmental-friendly Building: building that
does
not give any effects and helpful to the environment
• Uses a solar array and rainwater use minimize energy use
• The Bullitt centre can even stand alone from the municipal
water system!
• It is designed to last for over 250 years.
Bullitt Centre, Seattle,Washington
The ceilings are made from
precast concrete, with a 'wavy‘
shape, to optimise surface area,
which allows for an increase in
thermal mass
capacity
 Melbourne’s council building
features wind turbines
 sewage recycling
 Chilled ceilings and photovoltaic-powered recycled
louvers that track the sun and promote a healthier
internal environment.
 Life cycle assessment.
 Siting and structure design efficiency.
 Energy efficiency.
 Water efficiency.
 Materials efficiency.
 Indoor environmental quality enhancement.
 Operations and maintenance optimization.
 Waste reduction.
 Rainwater harvesting:
Rainwater falling on rooftops can be collected by pipes and stored in
water tanks and with the help of water purification techniques it is purified
and can be used for residential purposes and even for drinking.
 Wastewater Treatment Plant:
By implementing the wastewater treatment plant, all the waste water
including toilet waste water, kitchen waste water are collected, treated and
recycled with advanced technologies to make it totally bacteria to make it
reusable in gardens.
 Compost bin:
Waste are collected from each flat including food waste, paper waste, and
all other biodegradable waste and it is then recycled. After recycling the
scum becomes the best manure for the garden.

 Environmental Friendly Building is a financially, health,
and most importantly environmentally responsible idea
that more people need to adopt.
 Build the green building to under taken thing for
“Human comfortable with Environmental -friendly “
 In the world currently 100 member councils that include
over 80 countries. Including our neighboring country
India and Pakistan. So our government can also take
initiative to form an organization as “Green Building
Council “
