5. TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE TABLING
Do not sit down
Stand at front of table
Do not use the phone
Engage people as they walk by
More than likely will not engage you
Smile and make eye contact
Make them like you

• Make sure table display is attractive
Informational displays and handouts
What does that entail?
Does it standout?
Consider the time of day, week, year
Recruiting new members in December…
Selling hot chocolate in April…
Doing a fundraiser at 4 pm on Friday in Tate Plaza…

• What makes your fundraiser stick out compared to
others?
• Does the individual have a chance to get something if
they donate?
• Remember tabling strategies
• Consider the season or time of year

dates/week, upcoming events, etc.)
