2. In Poland, Christmas is celebrated very solemnly because Poland is
Catolic country. The Christmas celebration are very old. Weeks
before the whole family looks forward to the Christmas dinner in
Poland, as is planned, chopped, cooked, baked and fried.
3. When the first the star is shining in the sky, in Christmas Eve, Polish
families are sitting down to richly set tables, next to the ceremonially
decorated Christmas tree. In Christmas tabble are twelve traditional
dishes (the number of twelve apostles)
4. The Christmas Eve is included to the Catholic belief still in a fast, so all
dishes are must be meatless. Here we are showing you the typical
Christmas dishes from our houses. The most popular fish is a carp.
5. Before the meal, it we are praying and we are reading the Bible history of
Lordly being born in Bethlehem. Next divide up the Christmas wafer with
close family.
6. In the Christmas Eve in the morning we are decorating the
Christmas tree. There are a lot of color glass balls, lights, chains and
stars on it. Star is a main symbol of the Christmas.
7. After Christmas Eve singing Christmas carols and looking for gifts
under the tree. Then we go to midnight mass in the church.
8. The New Year's Eve dance and have fun. Together at midnight to
welcome the new year.
