Hoodie powerpoint new
1.
2. Hoddies are a well known form of dress in the teenage market; A hoodie (also
called a hooded sweatshirt or hoodie) is a sweatshirt with a hood. The
characteristic design includes large frontal pockets, a hood, and (usually) a
drawstring to adjust the hood opening. They are sometimes worn with
sweatpants. Some hoodies have zippers on them to allow easy removal much like
a jacket. These hoodies are sometimes called zip-up hoodies.
Teenagers can sometimes be seen as anti-social because they ware hoodies
even if they are not up to anything bad they are seen as being part of a gang
related culture.
In my sixth form at chestnut grove school hoodies are banned from being worn
inside the building and even in the playgrounds, because they can been seen as
anti-social and could do damage to the schools reputation. There as been recent
upset from the pupils stating that they wear hoodies because they are
comfortable and fashionable not being they are part of gangs and violence.
Teenagers are angry that they will not be able to ware hoodies in the sixthform
and this is what gave me my idea for my documentary because it is a recent issue
for teenagers.
3. The London riots in August didn't help the matter because many
people involved in the riots were wearing hoodies to hide their faces
From the cameras.
Police have recently stated that teenagers and gang related violence
Were involved in the London 2011 riots and said that the majority of
People involved were teenagers.
Witch is bad because not all teenagers were involved in the riots and
Not even teenager who wears a hoodie were involved in the riots.
Since the riots many news papers and magazines has victimized
Teenagers as being the sole reason for the London riots, witch is not
True the riots formed because of what happened in Tottenham witch
Started as a peaceful protest over the fatal police shooting.
4. Who will present?
I Shelley-Anne Newman will be presenting my documentary
because me being a teenager will give the viewers
(teenagers) someone to connect to though the documentary.
Because I am a teenager I know what it feels like to be
judged by others because of what I ware and it is unfair;
So by having a teenager make the documentary and
Present it teenagers will be able to connect more with the
documentary and they will feel like their opinion matters and they will watch it more.
Where will I show my documentary?
I am planning to show my documentary on E4 because I researched that E4 have a more
younger audience because of programs like Family Guy and Snog, Marry, Avoid.
So by showing my documentary on this channel around 7:00pm more teenagers will be
watching so it will reach my target audience, channel 4 and More 4 show more serious
documentaries for an adult audience so they were not the right channel to place my
documentary.
5. where?:
I will be shooting around an estate in south west London called
Surrey Lane; where I will be asking local teenagers around the
estate what they think about wearing hoodies and what they
think about why people might think teenagers who wear hoodies
are anti-social.
I will also be shooting hopfully at a local school to get their
views on not being about to wear hoodies in school and if thy
think its a bad or a good idea.
I will be going into local shops who sell branded hoodies such
as Nike and Adidas, to get the shops view on who where them
and why they think they are so popular with these people.
6. Why?:
Because in my sixth form recently there has been a debate about the
issue on wearing hoodies they teachers say that wearing hoodies
creates a bad persona about the school and that it could cause
anti-social behaviour; the students say that it is their choice to wear
a hoodie and its just a piece of fashionable clothing.
Also teenagers don't really have a say about the issue on hoodies;
in the newspapers there are articles about how teenagers are
wearing hoodies as part of a gang related violence.
So by making this documentary hopefully I will voice the opinions of teenagers
To the public.
7. Who?:
Teenagers on my estate because they do wear hoodies and they need
to voice their opinion.
Shops such as JD Sports because they sell the hoodies and they can
tell us who buys the hoodies and why they think they buy them.
Pupils at a local school because they are not allowed to wear hoodies
because teachers think that it will bring gang related violence and
people will think bad of the school.
