Future Simple Tense

Use
- show future time. It expresses a future fact or
prediction. It called the Pure Future or Future Simple.
Ex :
1.She‘ll write the e-mail after lunch.
2.He will clean the car next week.
3.We’ll be away for two weeks.
• Unpredictable future events
- Sometimes event may or may not occur
Ex:
1.Tony will bring his girlfriend to this party.
2.We’ll win this match
- Usually used in promises , requests , offers,
willingness
- express a at the moment of speaking.
Ex :
1. I will call you when I arrive.(Promises)
2. Will you give me a pen please? (Requests)
3. I will open the door for you. (offer)
4. I will give up smoking.(willingness)
5. I’ll have the steak, please. Not I have the steak..
- Make a prediction or give a warning:
Ex :
1.Don’t lift that. You‘ll hurt yourself
2.If you don’t finish the bid, the boss won’t give you raise.
- Prediction can be based more on an
opinion than a fact.
Ex :
1.I don’t think Laura will do very well on her
exam. She doesn’t do any work.
**Do not use contractions with affirmative short
answer

Going to
• Form :
am/is/are + going to + verb
Positive am/is/are + going to + verb
Negative am/is/are + not+ going to + verb
Question am/is/are + not+ going to + verb
Use
- expresses that something is a plan and
intentions in the future.
- before the moment of speaking.
Possible to happen more than use will
Ex :
1.I’m hungry. I’m going to buy something to eat.
2.She wants a new hair style. So she’s going to have a
haircut tomorrow.
3.When I grow up, I'm going to be a doctor.
• - make predictions based on present
fact. There is evidence now that
something is certain to happen.
Ex :
He's going to be a brilliant politician.
It isn’t going to rain today.(look at that beautiful blue sky)
We avoid saying going to come
or going to go.
Ex :
1. We’re coming tomorrow.
2. When are you going home?
Sometimes there is no difference
between
will and going to.
Ex :
This government will ruin the country.
This government is going to ruin the country.

I will have watched this movie more than 2
times
by the end of August.

past participle]
For example
You are going to have perfected your English by the time you
come back from the U.S.
I am going to have played tennis for school contest.

because he will have been jogging for over an hour.
