• 1967 – Initiation
• A group of individuals with similar, increasingly
critical jobs sat down to discuss the need for a
centralized source of information and guidance in
the field.
• 1969 – Formalization; The EDP Auditor’s Association
• 1976 – Education foundation for large scale research

• Approximately 80 recognized student groups
• Each group associated with the relevant local chapter
• Encourage education beyond classroom by allowing
students to network and learn from each other, and
connect with a supportive group of professionals.
• Gives students the opportunity to get to know ISACA by
interacting with professionals at events sponsored by
the university and the local chapter.
