2. INTRODUCTION
A low-pass filter is a filter that passes low frequency
signal and selectively attenuates higher frequency
signals.
It is short pulses are exceptionally rich in high
frequency components, and a low pass filter can be
used to filter out those high frequency components.
Example :
- Blurring of images
- Digital filters for smoothing sets of data
- Acoustic barriers
3. OBJECTIVE
To study the characteristics of passive filter by obtaining the
frequency response of low-pass filter.
To measure the cut-off frequency, fc of low-pass filter.
To plot the frequency of low-pass filter by using MATLAB
and compare the results with the measurement.
To study the output waveform when a certain waveform is
apply to the input of the low- pass filter.
5. RESULT & ANALYSIS
2) FINDING THE VALUE OF THE NUMERATOR
1) CALCULATE THE VALUE OF COMPONENT
3) DESIGN CONSTRUCT CIRCUIT IN LAB
4) PLOT MAGNITUDE AND PHASE
VS FREQUENCY IN MATLAB
9. CONCLUSION
Based on this project we already build circuit consisting of
resistors and capacitor.
The value also has been measured by using MATLAB.
There is a slightly different in the values of cut off frequency
from several results because the resistors and capacitors obtained
have it own tolerance.
The project has been done successfully because the objective was
achieved.
