To supervise, plan, schedule, perform and direct the day to day operations of repairs and
corrective / scheduled - maintenance of equipment to meet operational needs and all
other activities performed within their relevant section. Monitoring and controlling
repairs / maintenance by detailed inspection of the work required ensuring cost
effectiveness and high standard of service.
Essential and Marginal Function Statements-Essential and other important responsibilities
Taking with duties .
1. Regulates and controls the amount of chemicals used to maintain specific water treatment
requirements.

2. 2. Operate SCADA controlled wells, manually controlled equipment, motors, and pumps used in the
water treatment, purification, disinfection and distribution of water.
3. Performs a variety of maintenance and repair work on plant facilities, and chemical injection
equipment including adjusting pump packing, water meter maintenance and painting or repair of district
facilities.
4. Collect water quality samples at established times, and adjust chemical feeders and other plant
equipment according to results.
5. Makes meter and chart readings, interpreting information to determine the proper operation of
treatment equipment and water demand conditions.
6. Makes regular assessments of water flow, turbidity, pressure, chemical use, residuals,
temperatures, and other pertinent data to maintain proper plant operating conditions to ensure proper
supplies to meet all system demands.
7. Observes pumping equipment to identify possible problems and operating difficulties.
Backwash filters, maintains logs, records and data systems for required plant reports.
8. Repair water main leaks, replace gate valves up to 12” in size, install and abandon water services,
install fire hydrants, relocate water services, install water meters, and basic understanding of cross-
connection control and backflow.

• Responsible for safe and economic & smooth operation of the plant with closely supervise all
the engines, auxiliaries & all over the operational status as a Day supervisor.
• Controlling, Coordinating and supervising all operational activities to run the team +Plant
Operation and water quality maintenance smoothly and maximizing output.
• Plan and issue work schedules to ensure continual safe and efficient operation of the plant or
facility.
• Maintain power production at the output designated by Company policy and hands on Generate
system Reports & Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Commentary, Outages, Availably, Plant
Performance indicator (P.P.I), key Performance indicator (K.P.I), Customer satisfaction
assessment, International standards, Quality Management Corrective & Preventive action etc.
• Develops Standard work practices.
• To investigate mechanical and electrical failures of unforeseen problem. Take immediate
corrective action clueing system operational disturbance.
• To utilize all tools, equipment and accessories is such a manner so s to maximize useful
operating life.
• To supervise other operators, Technician and General laborer is support of the plant’s operation

• Carryout regular fire drill and maintain safety regulation.

• To maintain Plant’s spare parts Inventory & timely placing demands of spares as maintenance
schedule, fast moving spares & for unforeseen use.

equipment used in water treatment plant operations, water distribution
operations and water system maintenance work. Water treatment methods,
principals, and practices. Laws, codes, rules, and regulations pertaining to
water treatment operations and distribution of potable water. Methods for
handling and storing hazardous chemicals. Use proper safety precautions in

4. working with plant chemicals. Ability to perform standard water quality test
including measuring chlorine residuals, Total Dissolved Solids, Chloride and ph.
Maintain and update plant records, booster pump and well production logs.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and distribution piping plans. Establish
and maintain cooperative working relationships and respond to customer
service inquires. Able to carry, push, pull, reach, and lift equipment and parts
weighing up to 50 lb. And able to work in an environment with exposure to
dirt, mud, dust, chemicals, and significant temperature changes between cold
and heat depending upon time of year. Hearing and vision within normal
ranges stand, walk and generally doing the work in wet or muddy conditions
for extended periods of time to fix leaking water mains or service line leaks.
