NARAYANA MURTHY
 Mr. Narayana Murthy was born on August
20, 1946.
 He is an Indian IT industrialist and co-
founder of Infosys.
 Murthy studied electrical engineering at
the National institute of Engineering,
University of Mysore and M.Tech at IIT,
Kanpur.
 Before starting Infosys, Murthy worked
with IIM, Ahmedabad as Chief Systems
Programmer and Patni Computer Systems
in Pune.
 He started Infosys in 1981 and served as its
CEO from 1981 to 2002 and as Chairman
from 2002 to 2011.
 Murthy has been honoured with the
Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards.
Change in Name
In 1983 the company’s corporate
headquarters was relocated from Pune to
Bangalore.
The company changed its name to “Infosys
technologies Private Limited” in April 1992
and to “Infosys Technologies Limited”.
Became Public limited Company in June
1992 and later renamed to “Infosys limited”
in June 2011.
Its shares were listed in stock exchange in
June 1993.
VISHAL SIKKA
He was born in Shajapur, Madhya
Pradesh.
Vishal Sikka is the CEO and MD of
Infosys.
Before joining Infosys, Dr. Vishal Sikka
was a member of the executive board of
SAP AG and the Global Managing Board.
Vishal Sikka joined the Bachelor’s in
Computer Engineering course at Maharaja
Satyajirao University at Baroda.
On June 12, 2014, Infosys named Dr. Sikka
as its CEO and Managing Director.
He receives $5.08 million (₹30 Cr) and
stock options worth $2 million as annual
compensation.
Milestone
In 1981 signs up its first client, Data Basics Corporation,
in New York.
In 1987 Infosys opens first international office in
Boston, US.
In 1993 it acquires ISO 9001 Certification and goes
Public.
In 1995 Infosys Opens first European office in the UK
and global development centers at Toronto and
Mangalore.
In 1997 Infosys was assessed at CMM level 4.
In 1999 touches revenues of US $ 100 million also
opens the office in Germany, Sweden, Belgium,
Australia.
In 2000 Infosys touches revenues of US $ 200 million
and opens offices in France and Hong Kong.
In 2000 Infosys re-launches Banks 2000, the
universal banking solution from Infosys, as
FINACLE.
In 2001 Infosys opens offices in UAE and Argentina
and in 2002 in Netherlands, Singapore and
Switzerland.
In 2002 Nandan M. Nilekani takes over as CEO from
N.R Narayana Murthy.
In 2003 Infosys establishes Subsidiaries in China an
Australia.
In 2006 annual revenues double to $ 2 billion. It
took 23 years to reach first billion.
In 2006 N.R. Narayana Murthy retires from the
servies of the company on turning 60. The Board
of Directors appoints him as Additional Director.
He continues as Chairman and Chief Mentor of
Infosys.
In 2007 Kris Gopalakrishnan COO, takes over as
CEO. Nandan M. Nilekani was Appointed as Co-
Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In 2008 Infosys crosses revenues of US$ 4 billion
and annual net profits cross US$ 1 billion.
In 2011 N.R. Narayana Murthy hands over the
Chairmanship to K.V. Kamath.
• S.D. Shibulal, COO, takes over as the CEO and MD
from Kris Gopalakrishnan.
In 2012 Infosys was listed on the NYSE market.
 In 2012 Infosys acquires Lodestone Holding AG
In 2013 N.R. Narayana Murthy was appointed as
Executive Chairman of the Board.
In 2014 Dr. Vishal Sikka takes over as the CEO and MD
from S.D Shibulal.
 In 2014 revenue crosses 50,000 in crore in rupee terms.
In 2015 Infosys acquired Skava, a Leading Provider of
Digital Experience Solution for the Retail Industry.
 Infosys acquired Panay, Inc., a leading provider of
automation technology for large scale enterprise
software management.
 Infosys announces USD 250 million ‘Innovate in India
Fund’ to support Indian start-ups.

FINACLE
Finacle is a core banking software package developed by
Indian technology corporation Infosys.
It is used by multiple banks across several countries, it
can handle multi-currency transactions.
The list of products include:
Finacle Core Banking Solution, Finacle e-Banking
Solution, Finacle Treasury Solution, Finacle Wealth
Management Solution, Finacle Direct Banking Solution,
Finacle Mobile Banking Solution etc.
Several major customers of Finacle include Bank of India,
Nadra Bank of Ukraine, ICICI Bank of India and Al Hilal
Bank of the United Arab Emirates.

Finacle was chosen by Standard Bank, South Africa as the
preferred solution for Africa.
Kotak Mahindra Bank implemented the Core Banking
Solution platform Finacle 10 in May 2012.
In October 2012, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation
(RCBC) a private domestic commercial bank in the
Philippines, implemented Finacle on the IBM System to
transform its business.
Turkland Bank (T-Bank), one of Turkey’s private
banks completed the installation of the Infosys
Finacle core banking solution, which includes
customer relationship management (CRM) and
treasury modules in May 2013.
In November, 2014 it has successfully implemented
its Finacle core banking solution for Discover
Financial Services, a leading U.S. direct bank and
payment services company.

1. HOUSE OF FRASER
 It is a British department store group with over 60 stores
across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
 It was established in Glasgow, Scotland in 1849 as Arthur
and Fraser. By 1891, it was known as Fraser & Sons.
 In 1948, the company was first listed on the London Stock
Exchange, and eventually was included in the FTSE
Index before the company was acquired by a consortium of
investors including Baugur and Don McCarthy in 2006.
Infosys, announced that it has been awarded a multi-
year contract by House of Fraser (recently acquired by
Sanpower Group China), to transform its multi channel
business and IT infrastructure on April 27th, 2015.
House of Fraser is among the leading retailers in the
UK, and the company is aggressively working towards
enhancing its multichannel business and expanding its
global footprint.
To achieve this objective, House of Fraser has
selected Infosys as its strategic partner to strengthen
its multichannel business, and manage and transform
its core IT infrastructure.
2. DEUTSCHE BANK
Infosys has signed a multi-year agreement with
Deutsche Bank on 8th July 2015.
Deutsche Bank is committed to applying innovative
technology to enhance its efficiency and service to
clients.
Infosys will provide services like development,
application maintenance, digital and mobility, package
implementation and testing services across the
Deutsche Bank Group.

  • 2. Infosys was co-founded in 1981 by :- • Narayan Murthy • Nandan Nilekani • N.S. Raghavan • S. Gopalakrishnan • S.D Shibulal • K. Dinesh • Ashok Arora  The company was incorporated as “ Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd.” with a capital of Rs 10,000 ($250) in model colony, Pune as the registered Office.
  • 3. NARAYANA MURTHY  Mr. Narayana Murthy was born on August 20, 1946.  He is an Indian IT industrialist and co- founder of Infosys.  Murthy studied electrical engineering at the National institute of Engineering, University of Mysore and M.Tech at IIT, Kanpur.  Before starting Infosys, Murthy worked with IIM, Ahmedabad as Chief Systems Programmer and Patni Computer Systems in Pune.  He started Infosys in 1981 and served as its CEO from 1981 to 2002 and as Chairman from 2002 to 2011.  Murthy has been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards.

Change in Name In 1983 the company’s corporate headquarters was relocated from Pune to Bangalore. The company changed its name to “Infosys technologies Private Limited” in April 1992 and to “Infosys Technologies Limited”. Became Public limited Company in June 1992 and later renamed to “Infosys limited” in June 2011. Its shares were listed in stock exchange in June 1993.

VISHAL SIKKA He was born in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh. Vishal Sikka is the CEO and MD of Infosys. Before joining Infosys, Dr. Vishal Sikka was a member of the executive board of SAP AG and the Global Managing Board. Vishal Sikka joined the Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering course at Maharaja Satyajirao University at Baroda. On June 12, 2014, Infosys named Dr. Sikka as its CEO and Managing Director. He receives $5.08 million (₹30 Cr) and stock options worth $2 million as annual compensation.
  • 6. Milestone In 1981 signs up its first client, Data Basics Corporation, in New York. In 1987 Infosys opens first international office in Boston, US. In 1993 it acquires ISO 9001 Certification and goes Public. In 1995 Infosys Opens first European office in the UK and global development centers at Toronto and Mangalore. In 1997 Infosys was assessed at CMM level 4. In 1999 touches revenues of US $ 100 million also opens the office in Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Australia.
  • 7. In 2000 Infosys touches revenues of US $ 200 million and opens offices in France and Hong Kong. In 2000 Infosys re-launches Banks 2000, the universal banking solution from Infosys, as FINACLE. In 2001 Infosys opens offices in UAE and Argentina and in 2002 in Netherlands, Singapore and Switzerland. In 2002 Nandan M. Nilekani takes over as CEO from N.R Narayana Murthy. In 2003 Infosys establishes Subsidiaries in China an Australia. In 2006 annual revenues double to $ 2 billion. It took 23 years to reach first billion.
  • 8. In 2006 N.R. Narayana Murthy retires from the servies of the company on turning 60. The Board of Directors appoints him as Additional Director. He continues as Chairman and Chief Mentor of Infosys. In 2007 Kris Gopalakrishnan COO, takes over as CEO. Nandan M. Nilekani was Appointed as Co- Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2008 Infosys crosses revenues of US$ 4 billion and annual net profits cross US$ 1 billion. In 2011 N.R. Narayana Murthy hands over the Chairmanship to K.V. Kamath. • S.D. Shibulal, COO, takes over as the CEO and MD from Kris Gopalakrishnan.
  • 9. In 2012 Infosys was listed on the NYSE market.  In 2012 Infosys acquires Lodestone Holding AG In 2013 N.R. Narayana Murthy was appointed as Executive Chairman of the Board. In 2014 Dr. Vishal Sikka takes over as the CEO and MD from S.D Shibulal.  In 2014 revenue crosses 50,000 in crore in rupee terms. In 2015 Infosys acquired Skava, a Leading Provider of Digital Experience Solution for the Retail Industry.  Infosys acquired Panay, Inc., a leading provider of automation technology for large scale enterprise software management.  Infosys announces USD 250 million ‘Innovate in India Fund’ to support Indian start-ups.

  • 11. 1. IBM  IBM and Infosys have a long, proven track record of collaboration to deliver successful client relationships for over 10 years.  Infosys has earned the Premier Level partner status with IBM.  Infosys have provided core competencies to IBM.

Microsoft  Infosys is among the select few Microsoft globally managed services partners. Microsoft has worked closely with Infosys in developing its competencies on Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Azure, .NET and Microsoft Business Solutions. Infosys has the highest number of Microsoft certified consultants globally.

Hewlett Packard HP creates new possibilities for technology to have a meaningful impact on people, businesses, and society. With broadest technology in printing personal systems, software services and IT infrastructure, HP delivers solutions for customers. Its healthcare solutions are helping hospitals to bring down the cost and its digital printing solutions are changing the publishing industry. Infosys develop solutions for testing, quality, service management. They helps in application transformation.

BUSINESS APPLICATION SERVICES  Business services are services delivered to business customers by business units.  Example can be financial services to customers of a bank, online banking services etc.  Enterprises need technology expertise to look into industry knowledge to successfully execute business agendas with robust IT strategy.

PRODUCTS FINACLE Finacle is a core banking software package developed by Indian technology corporation Infosys. It is used by multiple banks across several countries, it can handle multi-currency transactions. The list of products include: Finacle Core Banking Solution, Finacle e-Banking Solution, Finacle Treasury Solution, Finacle Wealth Management Solution, Finacle Direct Banking Solution, Finacle Mobile Banking Solution etc.
  • 23. Several major customers of Finacle include Bank of India, Nadra Bank of Ukraine, ICICI Bank of India and Al Hilal Bank of the United Arab Emirates. In 2004, India’s largest bank, State Bank of India decided to deploy Finacle. DBS Bank of Singapore, selected Finacle Universal Banking Solution from Infosys as the core banking platform for the programme. Emirates NBD Bank, created from the merger of two leading banks in Dubai (Emirates Bank and National Bank of Dubai) is the largest bank in region by asset size.   • 24. Finacle was implemented at Punjab National Bank, India’s second largest public sector bank at all its 4,604 branches. In 2011, Finacle was set to enter the United States market via a deal with Union Bank N.A of California. Finacle was chosen by Standard Bank, South Africa as the preferred solution for Africa. Kotak Mahindra Bank implemented the Core Banking Solution platform Finacle 10 in May 2012. In October 2012, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) a private domestic commercial bank in the Philippines, implemented Finacle on the IBM System to transform its business.
