bittersweet untold story of the enduring, yet forbidden love affair between Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame legends

The incomparable Ruth Brown made a difference in the lives of many during her
lifetime. Everything about her is a remarkable story; her unbelievable talent, zest for life and
caring heart, just to name a few. Ruth Brown is and was an icon with stories yet to be told.
Her son, Ron McPhatter, is musically sharing one story. Ron David McPhatter is the son of
Rhythm and Blues legends Clyde McPhatter and Ruth Brown. He is an accomplished singer,
actor, producer, writer and composer. Ron McPhatter has authored an exciting musical
entitled, “The Layers of Love.” This musical tells an imaginative, inspiring and bittersweet
untold story of the forbidden love affair between Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legends Ruth
Brown an American pop and R & B singer-songwriter, record producer, composer and
actress; and Clyde McPhatter the original “Drifters” founder and lead singer.
Enjoy the acting and the music; travel the world, feel their challenges of life and relive
the private details as you watch and unfold “The Layers of Love”.
“The Layers of Love” is not simply a musical play; it is history being shared through
music. The premier performance will be in Las Vegas, Nevada at the West Las Vegas Library
Theater on November 26, 27 & 28. There is no charge to attend the performances but seating
is limited.
