They then allowed people to participate in daily discussion forums about the novel and other related topics.

National news could be brought in from the wire services like AP and Reuters, while columnists would be transformed into bloggers, providing their commentary online as opposed to in print. Paper eliminates a lot of the major costs associated with daily newspaper production. “If Seattle P-I can survive and thrive as an online-only paper, it could set the stage for many more newspapers”
