1. Belladonna had had enough of watching
Trinity moping about the house. She
wasn’t a criminal anymore, and she was
struggling to find work in Appaloosa so
why not just move?
2. Trinity saw the sense of it.
Neither of them were happy
here, so why not just cut their
losses and leave? Belladonna
got right onto finding
somewhere new to live.
3. Selling their house on Deasil Street was trickier. Not many people were
looking for such a large house with only two bedrooms. Out of
desperation, Belladonna called Edward in. He could afford to buy, and would
kill two birds with one stone. He could afford to redecorate and make a profit
on the house AND get Trinity far way from him and his organisation.
4. He agreed. He didn’t regret breaking up with
her, but did feel guilty about how it had
happened. He would do her this favour and help
her be happy elsewhere.
5. Despite it being her idea, when
the day of the move came
Belladonna had a heavy heart.
She knew her twin and her cat
Jerix would miss this little town.
6. All that remained was
for Trinity to say
goodbye to Megan. She
felt so guilty about her.
She had tried to keep
Megan on the straight
and narrow when she
was a child and just
starting to act out, and
blamed herself for not
stopping Allain from
babysitting her soon
enough.
Now Megan was
embroiled in the shady
world she was trying to
escape.
7. She laid it all out on the line for Megan, why she was
quitting crime, what she had learnt from a lifetime of
wrongdoing… why Megan should get out now. With
her brains she could be a fantastic legal
businesswoman. But Megan explained she liked the
risk, she enjoyed playing with fire. She loved the
thrill… especially with the wannabe cop Malika over
the road.
8. Trinity tried to talk Megan around. She spoke of the dangers of prison,
of the damage she could do her family, the future she was denying
herself with a normal family and peace of mind and a clear conscience
when she went to bed.
9. Megan stopped joking
around and gave Trinity
a full answer. She had
seen her parents
struggling for years by
playing it safe and
following the law.
Edward and Allain had
showed her another
way, and she would
pursue it.
She did promise to call
Trinity if she ever
wanted out, or needed
someone to talk to
though.
10. Trinity was happy Megan had heard what
she needed to, and wished her luck.
Megan wondered if she
would ever see Trinity
again. She had looked
up to her for so long…
she would miss her.
11. While Trinity said goodbye to Megan
Belladonna let Edward and Allain into the
house. All the furniture was included in the
sale so they could make a fresh start in
their new home, but it still a wrench to see
Edward calmly assessing each items worth
for sale.
12. That night Edward slept well. He might have
lost Trinity, but he had gained a nicer house
at a fraction of it’s true worth and with plenty
of room to enact his latest plan…
