Week 1: Welcome to the second part of Level 3
Nível 3 - Parte 2
Unit 6 is called A Healthy Lifestyle. Do you consider your lifestyle healthy? Do you eat
fruits and vegetables regularly? What about physical activities? But talking about
health is not only this. We also have to consider other factors, such as the glasses of
water you drink per day and even the number of hours you sleep every night. So, we
have a lot to learn in this unit, don’t you think?
Let’s divide the week in five days and study one lesson per day.
It’s also a good idea to remind you on the importance of studying regularly and
reviewing the language previously studied.
4. Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8
On the first day, do the seven activities in Lesson 1 – Vocabulary. In this lesson you will
learn vocabulary to be used when you need to visit the doctor.
On day 2, Lesson 2 presents six activities teaching statements with be going to. For
example, I have a plan for the weekend am going to visit my best friend. What about
you? What are you going to do at the weekend?
The seven activities for Lesson 3 come on day 3. You already know how to use
sentences with be going to to express future plans, now let’s see how to ask questions
using be going to. Then, there are more seven activities on day 4, Lesson 4, reinforcing
the use of be going to, this time in Wh- questions.
On the last day, let’s take the opportunity to study the listening activities in Lesson 6.
You’ll listen to doctors and paramedics treating people at a road accident.
I imagine you can hardly believe, but this is the end of the first week!

Week 2: starting...
Our plan for this week is to finish Unit 6 and start Unit 7. Remember that every time
we finish a unit we also read a book. Divide the reading in three parts. The first part
takes one day and this is the day that you use to prepare the vocabulary. The other
three days of the week are used to read the pages of the book. So, divide them
accordingly. Each book has around 24 pages, this way you’ll have to read around 8
pages per day. It isn’t too much, is it? Then, the last day of the week is to watch the
video, do the quiz and read the complementary text.
This week we are going to read the book Zoo Dentists. Two dentists in California treat
some very special patients. Their patients are animals! Animals can develop dental
problems just like humans. These dentists help them, but sometimes it can be
dangerous. Have they ever been hurt by an animal? How do they treat dangerous
animals?
For each day we’ll have only one lesson to study, and on the last day we will review
what was learned in Unit 6. On the first day, study the seven activities in Lesson 5.
Learn how to use the future with will.
Nível 3 - Parte 2
6. Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8
On the second day, study Lesson 7 where you will read about Jenna’s lifestyle. Is that
anything Jenna does that you think you could also do to improve your lifestyle? If you could
change anything in your lifestyle to live a longer and healthier life, what would it be?
On the third day of this week study the four activities of Lesson 8 where you’ll watch and
listen to a video about a small place in Italy called Sardinia. There, people live to be a
hundred! Scientists want to discover the secret of a long life by studying the lifestyle of
these people in Sardinia.
Use the fourth day to start unit 7. The title of this unit is Around the World. In Lesson 1,
you’ll learn vocabulary to describe a town / a city / a counrty.
Take some time on the last day to review what was studied in Unit 6. After this, do the unit
end pages.
Take a break and relax a little until next week.

Week 3: starting...
Sometimes, before going further, it’s useful to look back and see how much has
already been achieved. Let’s do it now. Look at what was studied in Unit 6:
• Vocabulary used at the doctor’s.
• Be going to to express future plans in the affirmative, negative and interrogative.
• Read about someone’s lifestyle.
• Watch a video about people who live to be a hundred.
Now that you have achieved is stated right in front of you, let’s keep going. Practice
leads to perfection.
Nível 3 - Parte 2

First of all, start preparing the vocabulary for the book The Gauchos of Argentina. In
Argentina, there is a group of men who live a unique life; the life of a gaucho. This

of lifestyle do these men have and what does it mean to be a gaucho?
On this same day finish the activities in Lesson 1, Unit 7 where you’ll continue to learn
how to describe places. What adjectives would you use to describe the city where you
live?
On the second day start reading the pages of the book The Gauchos of Argentina and
divide the pages of the book in three days of study. Besides this, study Lesson 2 –
Grammar – with six activities and learn how to use the comparative form of the
adjectives.

successful!
Let’s have one lesson per day as it follows.
On the first day of this week let’s study Lesson 5 – Unit 7 with seven grammar
activities that will teach you how make sentences using the comparative of equality.

passport being stamped! What a good feeling!
Day 2 is to watch and do the four video activities proposed by Lesson 8 – Unit 7 where
you will see the challenges the city of Venice, in Italy, is facing. Then think: what
challenges does your city face?
Nível 3 - Parte 2
11. Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8
Before going to the next unit, let’s take the middle of the week to review what was
studied in Unit 7. So, on day 3 do all the review activities in this unit.
Unit 8 is called Moving. Have you ever moved or have you been living at the same
place since you were born? Is moving positive? In which situations could it have a
negative meaning? Day 4 has six vocabulary activities related to moving in Lesson 1.
Finally, let’s finish the week with the grammar activities proposed by Lesson 2 where
you will learn the past tense of regular verbs. In English, the verbs can be either
regular or irregular. The regular ones have –ed in the past. For example: Maria liked
her last apartment. John rented a new apartment last week.
Next week we are going to finish unit 8. Good times are already here, aren’t they?

something else that’s very important. What does Ming teach the children and why is it
so important?
You already know how to divide the book, don’t you? Well, just in case – one day to
