6. Carol had been given her father’s assurances that the family was
hers so that made spending time with her little brother easy
enough. Best to befriend him so there wouldn’t be problems later
after all.
7. Dedrick and Felicity had now joined the ranks of Eternally
Faithful couples around the Bay. It was quite an honor. Despite
their rough start, Felicity couldn’t imagine being with anyone
else now.
8. Dedrick was a good father and had
proven his ability around the Bay.
9. Carol began writing the formal reports
required by law. An heiress needed to see to
such things.
10. Felicity had finally been allowed back on the Row
Squad. It was great to finally be back with her brothers
and sisters at sea!
11. Carol really did look an awful lot like her mother.
Perhaps she should consider changing her hair next
season?
12. Dedrick continued to serve the nobles as a chef
and was the chosen cook for all the top feasts and
parties.
13. His lord had been so pleased with his
work he’d now given him finery to soak
about it.
14. Felicity was given the opportunity to give a
presentation on fitness to the local women at the
hospital. She’d felt quite honored.
15. Before long Carol was celebrating her birthday.
Starting tomorrow she would officially be a
woman.
16. They’d simply had a small gathering at home, but then
again they couldn’t afford anything like a party on the
beach.
17. Her brother Akatosh had also grown up that night. He
seemed a bit put out that he’d not gotten a cake of his
own.
18. Carol had let her brother have a nice
big piece of his choosing as a
compromise.
19. She’d gone down to her liege lord’s home the following day and
received his blessing to take over for her father, pledged her
loyalty and been instructed she would receive a command next
season.
20. She’d taken an interest in building up her body skill
recently, and had even started letting her mother tutor
her.
22. Markus had thus far been ordered to be a fisherman
like his father before him, Carol couldn’t help but
wonder what she would be commanded to do..
23.
24. Markus had looked quite different since
she’d last seen him. His hairline had
receded young.
25. Felicity had offered to try to get her daughter a place
on the rowing squad if she would like. However, the
work didn’t much appeal to Carol.
26. Markus was quickly rising through the ranks of the
fishing village. He was gaining quite a reputation
around town.
27. Some poor old fellow had just died
in the Sandoval yard. How unlucky!
28. Dedrick had to consider what was to be done about his
son Akatosh. Carol had rejected the idea of just shipping
her brother off to the military or Redding House in Monte
Vista.
30. Markus and Carol had taken over the
lord and lady’s bedchamber from her
parents.
31. Okay I really need to change Carol’s hair. I cannot tell her
and Felicity apart. It’s scary. I went ahead and decided to just
make Carol the heiress. She had the best relationship with
Dedrick, and yes I toyed around with the idea of shipping
poor Akatosh off to boarding school. But I’ve decided that’s
just plain mean and besides Carol is best friends with her little
brother so it didn’t make much sense since they get along.
See you soon!
