Conetoe Family Life Center • Severe economic, social and health distresses • Initial grant funded 2-acre community garden • Since grown to 17+ acres • Engaging entire community, improving health • Piggly Wiggly contract, honey bee products, scholarships • RCP support: Board training, fundraising, youth grant-writing CNEF Grantee

Why Plan? • Assess where you are and develop “road map” for where you are going • Identify issues, assets, barriers and opportunities and strategies to address them • Identify resources: master gardeners, Extension, youth, seniors, in-kind contributions • Community engagement!!!!
