English language lesson about emotions
ANALYZE
Goal:
Through this lesson the students will be able to learn the name of their reactions in
English.
Objective:
Students will be able to differentiate between their reactions and name their
feelings in English.
Audience:
This blog will be addressed to teachers as a primary audience. It also benefits a
secondaryaudience which is any interested party whether students or parents
wishing to use this blog.
PhysicalEnvironment:
This class will be conducted on a pc at home or by a teacher in a schoolas an
activity. The period lasts for 6 minutes.
Timeline:
8 minutes
Pre-existing Knowledge:
There is a certain amount of knowledge that the students will have to already know
in order to complete this lesson. Pre-existing knowledge includes:
 How to turn on the computer and access the internet.
DESIGN
In this course, I would use quick and fun activities. Due to the children age, I
would want to quickly move from one activity to the next. I would also make my
lectures on PowerPoint and use animations, sound effects, and large colorful text to
keep each student engaged with the learning materials.
- Lessonplanning, activities and exercises:
The student watches a short video that talks about the name of emotions and
their reaction.
The student will be asked to click on any place in the slide to see the matching
of words with their facial expressions.
The student then does an exercise in which he should choosethe name of
emotion and write it on the picture it represents.
The student will finally have a feedback about his results if they true or false.
- Assessmentmethod: The exercise at the end of the lesson serves as assessment
for the student. At the end of the exercise he will see how many answers he got
right and how many answers were incorrect.
- Media selection: This lesson will be based on a restricted editing power point
document. The students simply click on the file and the lesson will start.
The file includes:
 A short video downloaded from the following you tube link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEk48QQSPo4
 An exercise will be prepared using power point and interactive tools so
that the student can get direct feedback on the exercise he is doing. The
student will be taken to a document and he will be given a picture and he
should choosefrom the box each word to which emotion it represents.
The student will have to choosethe correct words. If he chooses
correctly, the feedback will be on a next slide when he go back to the
PowerPoint.
Resources:Thecontent was based on the following online resources:

Graphic or visual design: In this course, I would use quick and fun activities. Due
to the children age, I would want to quickly move from one activity to the next. I
would also make my lectures on PowerPoint and use animations, sound effects,
and large colorful text to keep each student engaged with the learning materials.
EVALUATION
There are two parts that need to be taken into account in this portion of the ADDIE
model. The first is to evaluate the student’s performance and determine if they
were able to meet the goals and objectives stated earlier. The second is to evaluate
the lesson to determine how well the process worked and what may need to be
improved.
 For the students:
- See whether the moving between the slides is easy and clear?
 For the instructor:
- Was the Instructional Courseware (outlines, format samples, rubric) clear
and easily understood?
- Were the procedures in the correctorder so that lesson flowed smoothly
from one aspectto the next?
In answering these questions, the instructor should be able to judge the
effectiveness of this lesson of instruction.
