2. Foldablity of Shopping Bags
This concept of Topshop has been created to stand out as a new face of the flagship
shop in Los Angeles.
Inspiration for the Topshop design stemmed from the paper bag and all this folds
linked me to origami, which translated from japanese means “Paper fold”.
The guiding features of this space are five words:
1.Inspirational= Building
2.Youthful = Customer
3.Dynamic = Lighting
4.Changable = Furniture
5. Fashionable = Product
The design embraces not just furniture but exterior facade,
lighting and signs. The shopping bags create interesting shapes that can be moulded
to achieve an inviting space, which shows physical representation of chosen words.
The designed facade has two functions, window display and
connecting two levels. Mannequins shown on the staircase
construction create the interacting and easy accessiable dispaly
for people who walk upstairs/downstairs.
