* Evie primary school is located in the west
end of Orkney
* There are 65 children in the school
* The classes are organised into different
classrooms
* Primary 1 and 2 are in the same classroom
* Primary 3, 4 and 5 are in the same classroom
* Primary 6 and 7 are in the same classroom
3. * The play park is really big
* There are two sets of swings one set for babies and another
for bigger children
* There is also monkey and blue bars
* There is a massive slide down the side of a mound
* There is a see saw
* Another object called a climbing frame
* There are two football pitches
* The nursery have play area
* There is also a balancing chain
* There is a fake beehive to throw balls into
*We also have a gigantic forest with lots of big trees

5. The library
* Beyond the cloakroom there is a small library for all the
children in the school
* There are books for different stages and types
* When someone takes a book there is a computer that tells
what book you have taken out of the library
* The way it works is you have a card and you scan the card
with your name on it and then the bar code in the book and
it tells you what you have taken out
* Putting back the books work like a real library you just scan
the book and card again
6. *YouthCl
ub
* Youth Club is a fun activity for everyone - it happens on
Thursdays
* It starts at 6:30pm to 8:30pm for juniors and for seniors 7:30pm
to 9:30pm.
* The leaders are: Dorothy & Tony
* What you can do: Buy sweets – entry is 70p
* Go outside and play
* Tony can draw really cool pictures for you – You can also just
draw what you want yourself
* Usually we play team games in the hall
7. *Netball/football
Every second Monday and every second
Wednesday there is netball.
On Mondays it’s in Evie and on Wednesday
it’s in Dounby.
On Saturday there is usually netball
tournaments once a month.
Coaches: Miss Russell and Miss Rendall
Football practice is on Monday
6:00pm to 7:00pm
Coach: Paul Barber
Tournaments happen in the
Pickyquoy centre.
Outdoor football happens at Firth

* Fiddle is taught by Mrs.Griffith
