3. Research
One of the strengths would that I was able to see how they have done the
layout for the game and the colour schemes that they have used so I can
make my work look as professional as I could get it. One of the weakness of
this would be that I am making my own game that is completely different to
others so it might be the wrong layout that I was wanting so I cant see visual
image that I can interpret into my own work.
4. Planning
One of the strengths of using mind maps is that I could plan my game and
have multiple ideas so I could change my ideas and develop on my ideas this
helped me to get the outcome that I wanted for my game to come out at. One
of the weakness of this is that I cant go into to much depth with my ideas so I
cannot develop them.
5. Time Management
My time management did not go very well as I was ill for a week I got far
behind so I had to catch up in lesson what I will do next time is come in on
days off and catch up then apart from that I managed to keep with the work
and complete it in on time.
6. Technical Qualities
Both of these games are very similar as they both have a character who has to over come obstacles and
tasks to get the object that they need to complete the level as in both gams they are collecting coins from
within the level. Both of the games have used sound volume in the game as when the characters are
collect a coin the player will know as they will hear a sound when collecting and more. The main
difference between the games is that the colour scheme is very different as in my game I have used dark
and dangerous colours whereas in the other game it is brighter colours.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I believe that my product look good and creative because firstly what the audience will see
is the colour red which symbolises blood and danger so this will make the audience buy the
product as it will pull them into buying it. However the sound in the game could be more
interactive so when the character jumps could have a sound for that.
8. Audience Appeal
My product will appeal towards the audience firstly due to the colour scheme that I
have used as the colour red which symbolises blood and danger will make the product
look eye catching to them. However since my game is for 16 year old I have tried not
to have bad images or language or something to scary for them as I have tried to make
it appropriate for the secondary audience that will be viewing the product.
Furthermore I have tried to put some action into the film so I can attract the older
audience into playing the game, as you can tell I have tried to make the product
suitable for all audiences.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– i like the ghosts and the way he respawns when he
dies. Also I like how the last level has a ghost
witch keeps fading.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The sound and also the detail in the background.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– Simple
– Solid concept
– animation
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Animation needs to be more smooth
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the simple sounds.
– i like the detail to the main charter
– I like how simple but eye catching it is
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• The sound and more smooth animaition.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that the animation could be smoother which would be a little bit better but I
agree with the detail on the ghost as it does look very good
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– The only thing that I disagree with in the feedback is that the sound could be better as I
have tried to add as much noise into the game as I could so it would grab the audiences
attention.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would have got my work done on time but my memory stick had corrupted
so I had to go back on my game and make the entire thing again this slowed
me down a lot so I had less time to put in sound and detail into my work apart
from that I think that everything went very well. Furthermore what I will
make sure that I do next time is that I will be sending my work more often
and backing it up a lot more so this does not happen again.
