2. THE ULTIMATE ENTERTAINMENT
EXCITING ADRENALIN EXPERTISE CONTROL PROFESSIONAL QUALITY
Rallying is one of the most exhilarating experiences in motor sport. Our guests
witness the sheer speed and performance of the cars and in no other motor sport
can you get so close to the action. The skill of the co-driver in directing the driver
with accurate pace notes and the confidence of the driver in carrying out the
instructions to the letter, results in an unbelievably cohesive team.
Mistakes are cruelly punished. There is no margin for error and, in the most
wonderful natural forest environments, our guests can identify with the noise and
the smell that comes from man and machine pushing to the limits.
From the moment our guests check in, they enjoy the best standards of bespoke
hospitality. During breakfast the guests are able to meet the team and start to
soak up the excitement as we set the scene for a possible podium finish. A much
needed break for lunch at the Hospitality unit will give the guests an insight into
the tough conditions the teams may face. Being within reaching distance of all the
action, the guest will no doubt feel part of the team. Completing the perfect day is
the rare opportunity to view several stages at close quarters. No other sport offers
the access and family environment like British Rallying.

atmosphere where you can spend quality time with your company employees or guests.
The morning will start with breakfast, an excellent start to this action packed day. Along
with your guests you will be chauffeured to the rally action, visiting stages throughout the
day and having regular breaks at the main rally service areas. Here you will experience
the teams on event hospitality, serving food and hot/cold drinks. With your guides able to
answer all your questions, I’m sure you will find the day very interesting and enjoyable.
As for the passenger rides, once you have seen the cars from the outside you will then

8. THE STORY SO FAR....
Team principle, Graham Elsmore, is a former works driver known as the “King of the Dean”. Graham
has enjoyed a long and fruitful association with the sport since he started in the early 70’s. During his
successful career, which saw him become a professional driver for a number of different
manufacturers, Graham has gained as much pleasure looking after his son Nik as he did as a
competitor. The Elsmore Rally Team was established in 2006, the family were confident this step
forward would help gain a smoother & more professional outfit.
Nik Elsmore has never taken his eyes off the challenge to follow in his fathers footsteps. Since his rally
debut in 1995 Nik has won a string of accolades. By the end of 1997 he had been voted one of the
finalists for the “Ford / Motoring News Rally Champion of the Future” as well as been nominated to
drive for SEAT (World Formula 2 Champions). In the UK, Nik was ranked in the Top 10.
In 1999 he won the prestigious BTRDA Gold Star National Championship, only dropping two points
throughout the season. Winning five out of the six rounds and placed second in the other. It was the
most convincing Championship win in years. Also during 1999 he won his class in the British Rally
Championship and was the leading independent driver, until engine failure on the last round.
For 2000, Nik transitioned from a Formula 2 (front wheel drive) to 4x4. The season started well with a
7th
Overall on the Rally of Wales (British Championship) also receiving at the same time an added
bonus of an additional award for “The Most Promising Young Driver”. The season ended with
another fine outing on the Manx International Rally with a 5th O/A.

9. THE STORY SO FAR....
Using an Evo 5. Niks first overall win was achieved against much tougher world-class
opposition on the Wyedean at the start to the 2001 season. Also it saw the start of an
opportunity to compete in various European and World Championship events at the
wheel of a Guy Colsoul Rallysport car. The season saw Nik competing first in Sweden
then Belgium, Germany, Finland, Corsica and finally the Network Q Rally of Gt. Britain.
The season was very much a learning curve.
With a 7th Overall on the Wyedean starting off the 2002 season, the team continued with
UK rallies only. Another 7th was achieved on the Pirelli Rally and 14th on the Rally of
Wales. This fantastic start to the season didn’t end there, With sponsorship being found
with Hydrex Equipment UK, Nik notched up another 3rd
Overall on the Woodpecker
Stages, plus a 10th on the Bulldog Stages. Finally, at the end of the year, 31st Overall
was achieved on the Network Q Rally of Gt. Britain, the final round of the World Rally
Championship.
The 2003 season highlighted Niks ability to mix it with the leading British drivers,
competing in various British rally events and setting many fastest stage times
throughout the year. Nik has now been labelled as one of the fastest Group N drivers in
the country, proving his status by finishing in the Top 20 of the Wales Rally GB, the
final round of the World Championship.
The team’s aim for 2004 was to enter the Mitsubishi Championship, enabling Nik to once
again compete at the highest level and prove his ability. Breaking his arm in the first
event of the season slowed progress for the first few rounds, but with Niks determination
he pushed through many pain barriers and finished the Championship in 3rd position.
This was a fantastic result and the team were full of confidence for the 2005 season.

10. THE STORY SO FAR....
Nik was the leading driver throughout the first half of the 2005 season, being consistently quick was the key to winning the
championship. However, a rare engine/electrical fault hampered the championship position, finishing the season in a creditable 4th
position.
2006 was used to create the a new rally team. Gaining valuable publicity for the sponsors, competing on several selected events
throughout the year. The team worked well and Nik achieved solid performances during the season.
With the Elsmore Rally Team going into their second year, it was decided to once again fight for the elusive Mitsubishi Evo
Challenge title in a new Mitsubishi Evo IX rally car.
2007 would see the best entry yet, with many high profile drivers fighting for the prize of a works drive with Mitsubishi. The season
started with a rare brake failure, with Nik still pushing hard, a huge crash on round three would see his title hopes dashed. Relying
more on other drivers misfortune, Nik put in a string of consistent results and finished a very commendable 3rd Overall in the
championship.
The fight continued in 2008 with the ever competitive ANCRO & Evo Challenge Championships, Introducing a new co-driver Craig
Drew to the Elsmore Rally Team proved to be the turning point this season. The battle continued to the very last event and a joint 1st
Overall in the Mitsubishi Challenge was the reward at the close of season. This is the best result to date for the team & as an added
bonus Nik was rewarded with a 4th Overall in the National ANCRO Championship. As the highest placed Group N driver, the
team proved competitive against the WRC machinery.
“Only dropping two points throughout
the season. Winning five out of the six
rounds, It was the most convincing
Championship win in years.”
11. THE STORY SO FAR....
Nik continued to use his full International Spec Group N Mitsubishi
Lancer Evo IX for the 2009 season. Prepared by chief engineer, Rex
Paddock, based in the Forest of Dean. Winning the Wyedean rally
for the second time was a great start, and the pace continued
throughout the season with some of the best driving to date. Sadly,
mid season, chief engineer & Niks mentor, Rex Paddock was killed in
an aeroplane accident. His untimely death was a huge loss to the
team, battling through they still managed to finish a rewarding 2nd
Overall in the Mitsubishi Challenge and 4th
in the ANCRO
Championship.
With there being such a huge loss to the team during the 2009
season, it was decided to make the difficult decision to retire from the
sport in 2010.
With the Wyedean Rally having its 40th
anniversary in February 2015,
as a former winner, Nik was invited to take part in the event as a one
off guest appearance. However, a class win of over two minutes and
an outstanding 5th
Overall, gave Nik the Star of the Rally award,
voted for by the national motoring press. This also ignited the passion
Nik has always had with motorsport.
With the most competitive & rewarding championship now being the
BTRDA National series, Nik is hoping to build a team together for a
number of outings this season. If all goes to plan we hope for a full
attack in the BTRDA Championship 2012.
