A bank is financial institution whose primary activity is to act as
payment agent for customer and to borrow and lend money.
 HDFC BANK : HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited) is Indian
financial services company based in Mumbai, that was incorporated in august, 1994 and
founded by Hasmukhbhai Parekh.
 In 2016, HDFC Bank was the first largest Bank by Market Capitalization.
 HDFC Bank was the First Bank who launched the International Debit
Card.
 Times bank limited was merged with HDFC Bank Limited on Feb. 26,
2000.
 This was first time that two private banks got merged.

• Strength- This Is one of the Leading new age
Private sector bank.
• Weakness- Rural Penetration is low, and have
less no. of branches when compare to its
competitors.
• Opportunities- Venturing into rural areas, and
more complex products.
• Threats- Competitors, Foreign Bank that
offers more complex products.
