5. ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING:
• Elizabeth Barrett Browning was an
English poet of Victorian era.
• She was born in Country Durham,
the eldest of 12 children, Elizabeth
Barrett wrote poetry from about the
age of six.

Browning is perhaps known for her ‘
sonnets from the Portuguese’ and
‘Aurora Leigh.’

“HOW DO I LOVE THREE?”
• This poem is about love, admiration,
identity, and morality.

loving him her own death.

• it is example of dramatic monoly. The poem

and social power by speaker and his attempt
to control the domestic sphere in the same
way he rules his lands.

to deliver his lecture in English rather than
the Latin.
