- Kingston is where I started. As a new comer, experience hardship of not being able to communicate Kindness of strangers in the community and social services helped our family Planted the seed to give back to the community
- Traditional channels for advertising has also changed. # of people reading newspapers, watching television and listening to the radio has been falling, especially with the teenage crowd. attendance for some artforms is falling; we need to increase the frequency with which people come to, for instance, our venue or festival and we need to keep people coming back year-on-year. The days of lining up to buy tickets has given away to electronic ticket distribution. More and more, artists are using social media tools like blogs, myspace, facebook and twitter to connect with their fans and participating in conversations
- Our world is changing so rapidly, information is produced online at an incredible rate, making it even more crucial to promote literacy
