1. Report on “APLE” Seminars in the framework of the
project “Teaching Today for the Future”
The project “Teaching Today for the Future” is
intended for students in their last year of studies who are strongly committed to
start a teaching career after graduation. The first day (3 rd November 2012) included
two seminars on the following topics:
1. Teaching Writing Techniques delivered by Angela Tulei, MA in Pedagogy
and Victoria Fiodorov, MA in Philology, both lecturers at Moldova State
University.
2. Education: Connecting Practice to the System, delivered by Bob Earlie,
professor from Ireland.
24 students participated in these seminars.
2. On the 10th of November the
following seminars were
presented:
1. English Language
Acquisition through Game
Perspective, delivered by
Ina Voloschiuc, MA,
University Lecturer, MSU
2. Teaching ESL and Critical
Thinking: a Few
Pedagogical Tips from an
American Perspective,
delivered by Catherine
Douillet, Fulbright Scholar
22 students participated on this day.
On the 17th of November the following
seminars were presented:
1. Kaleidoscope of Teaching
Techniques, delivered by Marcela
Calchei, MA, Senior University
Lecturer, MSU
2. Boosting Oral Fluency through
Communicative Activities, delivered
by Tamara Matei, PhD, Associate
Professor, MSU
20 students participated on this day.
On the last day (24November) the
following seminars were presented:
1. Assessing the 4 Skills in Teaching
English, delivered by Irina Gincu,
MA in Pedagogy, Senior
University Lecturer, MSU
2. How to Engage Students and
Generate Active Student
Participation in the Classroom,
delivered by Richard Garrett,
Fulbright Scholar
3. New Perspectives in Teaching
Reading, delivered by Lia Butucel and Galina Bobeico, both University
Lecturers, MSU
26 students participated in these seminars.
