2. Pre-injury Status
Before his injury this 22 year old
male lived at home and worked
20 hours in a 7-11 as a cashier.
He was a senior at a
continuation school and was
doing reasonably well. He may
have finished his high school
diploma in half a year.
3. Pre-injury Status
He loved to work out with
weights, ride his motorcycle and
hang out with friends almost
every night. He took care of his
home and shared the
responsibilities of the household
with his girlfriend who worked
full time.
He did not have a car and
occasionally used the bus to go
to town. He had no pre-existing
illnesses.
4. Present Condition
After his injury this patient has
resumed his former job for 10
hours a week. He feels he is not
mentally up to starting studies
again. He has taken on
household responsibilities and is
at home with his 2 children.
He sees other people and goes
out, but significantly less than
before. He has not returned to
do sports and cannot drive a
motorcycle.
5. Present Condition
There are frequent but tolerable
disruptions in his life due to
strain and anger outbursts,
about once a week. He can take
care of himself completely on
his own and can be left alone
for a day or more without any
problem.
6. Present Condition
He uses the bus or a taxi to go
out on his own, and has no
trouble shopping even if he
does not do it as much as
before. He does have a mild
speech impairment and does
not concentrate as well as
before the accident. He feels he
has trouble remembering new
things and suffers from
headaches and dizziness as
well.
