5. PLAN OF MUSEUM SERRALVES
• The building is built in a longitudinal manner from North to
South, with a central body divided into two wings, separated by
a patio, thus creating a U-shaped structure,complemented by
an L-shaped construction, which creates a second patio
between the latter building and the main building.
• This patio serves as the main access to the Museum, with
connection to the underground car park and gardens.
• The 13,000-square-meter building, which includes 4,500 square
meters of exhibition space in 14 galleries, opened its doors to
the public in 1999.

7. MATERIALS USED-
MATERIALS INCLUDE HARDWOOD FLOORS AND PAINTED
WALLS IN GESSO WITH MARBLE SKIRTING IN THE
EXHIBITION HALLS, AND MARBLE FLOORS IN THE FOYERS
AND WET SPACES. EXTERIOR WALLS ARE COVERED WITH
STONE OR STUCCO.

8. BOA NOVA RESTAURANT IN LEÇA DA PALMEIRA-1963
 The Boa Nova Tea House was designed following a competition held in
1956 by the city council and won by Portuguese architect Fernando
Tavora.
 After choosing a site on the cliffs of the Matosinhos seashore, Tavora
turned the project over to his collaborator, Alvaro Siza.
 One of Siza’s first built projects, it is significant that the restaurant is not
far from the town of Matosinhos where the architect grew up, and set
in a landscape that he was intimately familiar with.

12. OFFICE BUILDING FOR THE SHIHLIEN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL JIANGSU
CO,CHINA- 2014
 Meticulously built in white exposed concrete, the building’s pristine curvilinear form
measures over 300m in length, comprising two levels above water and a total built
floor area of approximately 11,000 sqm.
 As if evoking a life-like dragon, elegantly poised over water, the contours of this
building gently undulates.
 Contorting itself, the form escapes from convention, an autonomous entity
contrasting with the orthogonal shapes of the factory complex.
 Crisscrossing the curving geometries, bridges interconnect spaces, levels and
volumes. The design takes full advantage of its poetic setting and natural light.


15. PUBLIC AUDITORIUM, LLINARS DEL VALLES
Northeast of the urban fabric of the town of Llinars del
Valles is the site on which the Auditorium Theatre of
Llinars del Valles has been built.
This is the first performance of a larger project, already
written and spread on adjacent public land obtained from
the transfer resulting from the execution of Can Marquès
partial plan.
