Bransys is a company headquartered in Skopje,
Macedonia, that designs, develops, supports
and sells computer software and services. Our
company is officially established May 2008.
Until and before establishment it was a part of
the native company Brans and later together
created a group.
We are a company that directly connects to its
clients, putting their wishes and needs on the
highest level of the priority list. We are certain

4. HOW VEHICLE TRACKING SYSTEM WORK?
A GPS antenna is tethered to the unit with a lead wire (typically 10-15 feet). The GPS antenna collects
the GPS data and feeds it to the unit. The unit does some processing of events and speeds. Additionally,
the GPS vehicle tracking unit has a wireless modem inside, similar to ones found in cell phones. This
modem is used to communicate with Global Tracking’s systems. The GPS data is sent directly from the
vehicle’s unit to our servers, where we process the information for the user. All of this happens in real-
time. GPS determines the distance between a GPS satellite and a GPS receiver by measuring the amount
of time taken by a radio signal (the GPS signal) to travel from the satellite to the receiver. To obtain
accurate information, the satellites and the receiver use very accurate clocks, which are synchronized
so that they generate the same code at exactly the same time.

6. Introduction
GPS Bransys is a real-life tracking and positioning system, using a web-based application. It uses
several different services including GPS (Global Positioning System) for accurate vehicle location
and the Internet for a visual display of the web-based app and its features.
The application provides visual access to your entire fleet of vehicles, fleet administration and
creating different types of reports that give an accurate representation of vehicle operation
therefore reducing fuel and operational costs, increasing vehicle and driver safety and making
fleet management a whole lot easier. Apart from tracking, the app can provide you with a
multitude of different parameters regarding the vehicles’ status (speed, ignition statuses,
information from temperature and fuel sensors etc.).

7. Live Tracking is an app feature that shows vehicles on the map in real time, accompanied
by several stats and parameters useful for fleet control. Live Tracking also gives you
information about the vehicle’s ignition system meaning you can keep track of the vehicle’s
movement and ignition status (if the vehicle is turned on or off) at all times.

Historical reconstruction is a useful tool for reconstructing a vehicle’s past movement for
a certain time period.

This section of the app is used to draw regions (or edit existing ones) that can later be
used for tracking vehicles’ movement through those regions.
Regions
This feature is used to draw and visualize routes on the map. It is useful for keeping track
of vehicles that have predetermined routes of movement, visiting the same points of
interest periodically.
Routes
- Defining different types of maintenance operations that are performed on the vehicles.
- List of all the maintenance operations that are already performed on the vehicles in the
fleet.
- Report for keeping track of fuel costs for each vehicle as well as some other useful info
such as state where the fuel was purchased/filled (to be used in an IFTA report).

8. - Vehicles - a list of all the vehicles in the fleet that you are allowed to track.
- Drivers - This is a display of all the drivers that have been entered into the application.
- Odometer - view the current odometer state (total mileage) of the vehicles.
- Assign vehicle - In this section you can assign vehicles to their designated drivers and
also view all the vehicles that have already been assigned. Each assignation is displayed
with its time period, name of the driver and vehicle’s company number.
Fleet
- Users and groups - a list of all the users (entered by the administrator) from the company
that are granted access to the web app.
- Company settings - In this section you can add or edit the information about your
company. Apart from general information such as: Company name, address, contact
info, you can also select the working hours and working days.
- Non-working days - This section of the app is used to keep track of the non-working days
of the company workers and also the vehicles they’ve been assigned. You are shown the
entire non-working days history which you can sort by either a vehicle or a driver.
Administration
- Speeding reports:
 Speeding – above road speed limit - contains data about the number of speeding
(driving over the speed limit) depending on the roads’ speed limit.
 Speeding – above permitted vehicle speed - contains data about the number of
speeding depending on the vehicles’ maximum moving speed allowed by the company.
 Idle time and speeding - This report has 2 parts: 1. Idle Time – time spent idle (not
moving) i.e. vehicle speed of 0km/h, regardless of the vehicle’s ignition status (on/off).
2. Speeding – this part of the contains data regarding the date and time when speeding
occurred (vehicle moving at a speed greater than the user selected speed) as well as
the vehicle’s speed.

9. - Mileage reports:
 Mileage per vehicle - contains data about the vehicles’ mileage in a given time period.
 Mileage per driver - contains data about every driver’s mileage in a given time period.
 Mileage during/out of business hours - This report contains data about vehicles’
mileage during the working hours as well as off working hours and during holidays.
- Average Speed - gives you data about vehicles’ average speed over a selected time
period. For average speed calculations, only data where the vehicle’s speed is over
10km/h are taken into account.
- IFTA report - This section of the app is used to generate an IFTA Quarterly Fuel Use Tax
Schedule (Form IFTA-101, to be attached to a Form IFTA-100) using the data from the
tracking devices and data manually entered in the app. This standardized form is used
when filing for a tax return, depending on the amount of fuel used in each state (in the
USA and Canada), type of fuel etc.
- Routes with geocoding - This is an app feature used to determine a vehicle’s movement
routes without using user predefined routes. Through the geocoding process, the app
generates detailed data about the locations visited by the selected vehicle. In order to
generate this report, you need to select a vehicle and a time period.
- Routes report - report which tells you which points have been visited by the vehicle in
question, at what time, how much time it spent there etc.
- Regions report - This report gives you information about vehicles’ movement in the user
predefined regions.
- RFID report - This is a report on driver authentication by RFID cards. Vehicles equipped
with RFID authentication devices (RFID readers) can only be used by approved drivers.
The authentication is done with unique RFID cards for each driver.
- Provided fuel costs - monitor the vehicles’ provided fuel consumption.
- Fuel Probe – gives you information about the vehicle’s fuel status and consumption, using
the data from the vehicle’s fuel probe. This only applies to vehicles with a fuel probe
installed.
- Temperatures report - utilizes data from the temperature sensors (if there are vehicles
equipped with such). It is useful for companies that deal with distributing temperature
sensitive cargo (frozen foods for example).

10. GPS MINING
The application utilizes data
from active card readers
(RFID). It can collect, process
and store that data in the
central database. Coal
transporting vehicles are
equipped with active RFID
cards and their movement is
tracked by the card readers
installed along the vehicles’
route. A transport order for
the desired vehicle must be
created in the application
beforehand and there are
predefined rules for the
route (maximum travel time
between 2 points for
example). This is used in
conjunction with the data
from the AVL device. Only if
the route has been properly
followed will the system
allow for the coal load to be
measured. If certain
irregularities occur, the
system will not allow
measurement until they are
resolved.

This system is designed to collect and
display data from the measuring scales.
Each scale is connected to the system
and transfers data in real time which
allows for uninterrupted monitoring. All
the parameters generated by the scale
itself are readily available to the system.
The system is designed to take
appropriate action such as: alarming the
client about irregularities, informing the
support center about errors occurring
etc.
Furthermore, the system can control
each traffic light that grants access to the
scales. This is done in coordination with
the route control module and by
checking the route’s rules and RFID data.
If the vehicle has followed the route (and
its rules) passing each consecutive point
in the planned time span, the traffic light
will light up in green color, granting the
vehicle access to the scales. If any
irregularities have been recorded, the
traffic light will light up in red color.
