SOCIAL MEDIA FOR KIDS (7 TO 14 YEARS OLD)
Facebook allow kids from 13 years and older, but some
studies show that exists more than 7 million kids bellow that
age on the popular social media.
There are several unethical issues on having kids in social
media, but to try to say that kids are not allow for using it is a
big mistake, because this is what now kids are living and
looking for. We should work on having a more safe digital
place for them instead of trying to ban them.
SOCIAL MEDIA FOR KIDS (7 TO 14 YEARS OLD)
This social media is designed for kids between 7 and 14
years old, that is when kids start to create digital networking
and before kids are too grow up to have the desire to be part
of a controlled social media.
In order to develop a social media with an effective control
a monthly fee must be charged, and an adequate amount
could be around $1.99.

ISSUES ON ACTUAL SOCIAL MEDIA FOR TEENAGERS
As was explained before, social media is designed for kids
from 13 years and older, but we can’t prohibit the
unprohibited. Many concerns would lead parents to pay a
monthly fee to have a social media for their children more
positive, constructive, safe and ethical.
Some of the main problems are:
- Privacy
- Data sells
- Cyber Bullying

ISSUES ON ACTUAL SOCIAL MEDIA FOR TEENAGERS
- Advertisers/Marketing inappropriate for kids
- Pornography
- Cyber sexual predators or swindlers
- Cyber egocentrism (selfies, amount of followers, likes, etc)
- Negative and fake empowerment through social media
- Computer viruses
SOCIAL MEDIA FOR KIDS (7 TO 14 YEARS OLD)
MONITORING
One of the most important tools of this social media it is to
give a monitoring option for parents in their phones, that will
allow them to have some control of their kid’s social media.
Some of the benefits that parent are going to have are:
- Checking if your kid is being bulled or if is doing bullying
against others kids.
- Checking if the name or a picture of your kid is being
repeated more than 20 times in a short period of time, in
order to promptly detect if your kid is involve in a negative
situation, like gossips, bullying or others.

MONITORING
- Checking the “Friends” of your kid on the social media.
- Effectively report and send a person or photo to
investigation if something is no correct.
- Alerts when someone did a screen shot of the wall or
pictures of your kid.

FEATURES
Others features that this social media is going to have are:
▸ No data sells: to protect private information of kids.
▸ Right to be forgotten. Like politics in UK, kids must have
the right to be forgotten.
▸ No advertisers.
▸ No marketing.

FEATURES
▸ No count of likes and no count of followers. Just comments
allow in order to change the concept of “fake popularity” and
the negative conception of empowerment thought likes and
followers.
▸ Promotion of Hashtags about Sport, Art, Music and
Community activities. Instead “Throw Back Thursdays” (#TBT)
in Instagram or “Follow Friday” (#FF) in Twitter, promote
hashtags like #SportyMonday, #ArThursdays, #MusicSaturdays
or #HelperSunday, in order to encourage kids to actually do
and post positive photos and activities that can inspire others.

to promote positive behaviors and kids who have been
working hard in different areas.
▸ Section for instructive videos where kids can upload about
how to cook something, how to resolve a math exercise,
how to build an experiment , how to do a skateboard stunt
or any positive theme.

▸ Alerts when someone make a screen shot of your wall,
videos or pictures. As Snapchat did in order to control even
more the digital property of every user.
▸ Fund raising for school, sport teams, dance groups or any
positive cause. With a section (like Go fund me) to
encourage kids to fund raise for positives activities or to help
others in difficult situations.
▸ News from schools. Instead of having news from the national
or regional Newspapers, have a connection with the schools
of the users and communicate the most important news.
