MICELLATION:THE BODY’S SOLUTION TO BAD
ABSORPTION OF FAT-SOLUBLE SUBSTANCES
The human body consists for 60 percent of water. Water is the main
ingredient of the transportation fluids inside the body. Think blood and
intra/extracellular fluids. As most people know water and fat don’t mix
very well, so the absorption and transportation of fatty substances by the
body and into the cells is compromised. Nature however has a solution
for that: micellation, the natural encapsulation of fat-soluble (lipophilic)
substances by micelles.
The absorption of orally administered substances takes place in the
intestinal cells. These cells have a thin aqueous surface film. Water-
soluble substances pass this film of water directly and are therefore
ideally bioavailable. Through Micellation fat-soluble substances are
converted to a water-soluble form, making them available to the cells in
the body. This however is a time and energy consuming process, so most
fat-soluble substances become excreted by the body unused before
reaching its target destination. The bio-availability and effectiveness of
fat-soluble substances therefore are still relatively low.

MICELLATION TECHNOLOGY:IMPROVING THE
WATER-SOLUBILITY OF FAT-SOLUBLE SUBSTANCES
Micellation technology encapsulates fat-soluble substances in artificially
created micelles, so they become water-soluble which dramatically
increases the bio-availability of the substances. Examples of such
substances are: Fatty Acids (example: Omega-3 and Cannabis Oil), Fat-
soluble Vitamins (ex: Vitamin D3, E and K) and other natural substances
that normally have low bio-availability (ex: Curcumin).
Micellation Technology has been in development for over 30 years to
prepare micelle solutions outside the body as a way to administer fat-
soluble substances in water-soluble form to the body. Until now these
technologies werenot optimal yet.
