against Cyber Threats
                                                                                       MASTERCLASS

SMi Training Presents…

It’s NOT an IT issue...
6th December 2012, Central London
Hosted By: Martin Hogan, Partner, Head of Practice,
Corporate Business Assurance &
Tony Collings OBE, Executive Chairman, ECA Group

“…Patch and Pray will not be enough…getting the basics of Cyber
Assurance right is a Board level Governance responsibility”
Overview:

Director GCHQ
Many senior executives are still failing to understand the level of
international cyber threat to their organizations. Cyber-crime costs the
UK economy in the region of £474 million a year, with 19 British people
falling victim every 60 seconds. A successful cyber-attack cost the
average SME £20,000, a large corporate up to £2million. It is far better to
operate a strategy of Predict and Prevent than continue the standard wait
for Failure and then Fix it.

This Masterclass is aimed at Execs and non- Execs to give them a good
idea of the best strategies to implement to significantly raise the bar on
their organisation’s Cyber Resilience- bearing in mind- this is NOT an IT
issue.

Why should you attend this Masterclass:
• Learn what form cyber-attacks take from source to exploitation; could

     www.smi-online.co.uk/cybersecurity-governance.asp
  you recognise an attack?
• Examine real case studies and examples focusing upon financial
institutions, IP protection, government institutions, national
  infrastructure and commercial entities
• Understand the impacts of an event
• Learn how to manage risks and to control threats
• Predict and prevent as opposed to fail and fix

Who Should Attend?
Corporate management, company directors, company operational heads,
strategic advisors, contingency planners, directors and managers from
commercial and governmental entities. Non-executive directors.
