1. Comenius meeting in Spain – May 2014
First of all, we want to thank Manolo and all his colleagues for the perfect organization and
the unforgettable time we had together.
When we arrived on the first day after a long and tiring trip, we were warm welcomed by the
hosts of a very nice hostel. From the first moment we felt the friendly attitude of the Spanish
people.
Our stay in the beautiful region of Asturia was unforgettable for us. We are very grateful for
the opportunity to meet such nice people. Thanks to the hosts of La Quintana we could visit
their school and to learn some Spanish words, as well. It was interesting for us to know
something more about the Spanish educational system and to make some comparison with our
own.
Furthermore, we are very pleased that we could observe the process of preparing Spanish
paella and tasted it, of course! Mmm, delicious! We really enjoyed the Spanish dished we tried.

2. Although the weather was a bit rainy from time to time, it couldn’t spoil our great time
together. As Manolo promised us, we visited the most beautiful places on Earth. We enjoyed
the sightseeings in Oviedo and Gijon and other fascinating places in the Western Asturials. It
was especially interesting to know how Spanish cider is made, too, and to have the chance to
taste it.
This Comenius meeting enriched our knowledge in cultural, historical and geographical
aspect because when you see something with your own eyes it’s even more precious than to
read it in a book. Our time in Spain was full of unforgettable moments that Manolo and his
colleagues organized for us. On the last day of our visit we left Spain keeping the warm memory
of the exciting experience and happy to have new friends. We are looking forward to meet
again soon.
