3. DOCUMENT
EVALUATION BY ECE
Evaluation Credential Evaluation (ECE) is a
separate non-profit organization, evaluating
your educational document equivalence with
USA degree.
You can easily qualify this by sending your
Pharm D degree and transcript according to
their requirements.
Fee for document evaluation: Ranges between
$150 - $450 depending on your requirement.
Procedure for applying is, go to
https://www.ece.org/ for evaluation of your
documents.

FPGEE EXAM
Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination
(FPGEE) exam is for all the pharmacists who graduate from
outside USA and want to become registered pharmacist in
United States of America.
Takes place just in USA, in any Pearson VUE test centers
(these centers are in all the states, so you can select any
state of your choice). Offered once per year mostly in
October.
You must receive a letter of acceptance, to take this exam.
You will have 2 years to take and pass the FPGEE from your
acceptance date.
Procedure for applying for FPGEE Exam is, go to
https://nabp.pharmacy/programs/foreign-pharmacy/fpgee/
and register yourself for FPGEE, submit fee, print form, go
to embassy for visa, and give test.
5. FPGEE Exam contains 250-questions (Multiple choice questions)
• Basic Biomedical Sciences – 10%
• Pharmaceutical Sciences – 33%
• Social, behavioral, administrative pharmacy sciences – 22%
• Clinical sciences – 35%
The score for FPGEE exam 150, and the passing score is 75. The
score 75 for example does not mean you have answered 75
question correctly because the marks for each question varies.
You are allowed five attempts to take the exam. The score result
will be ready after 8 weeks of the exam. The exam period is five
and half hours.

After or during passing FPGEE, you must take TOEFL Exam - Test of
English as a Foreign Language, basically test for English language
and once passed is valid for 2 years.
Procedure for applying for TOEFL is, go to
https://www.ets.org/toefl and register yourself.
Then you will receive FPGEE certificate (FPGEC).
Next step is Internship (Number of hours depends upon state
requirement).
Then you must appear in NAPLEX and pass to get yourself
registered as Pharmacist in USA.

7. NAPLEX EXAM
The North American Pharmacist Licensure
Examination (NAPLEX) is a nationwide exam used
by boards of pharmacy as one component of
pharmacist licensure.
You must get FPGEC certificate and TOEF-IBT to
qualify for the NAPLEX exam.
Apply for NAPLEX, choose Pearson VUE center in
your state of choice in USA, and after acceptance
of your data and receiving confirmation letter,
you can appear in test.
NAPLEX is a six-hour exam composed of 250
questions that are delivered in a computerized,
fixed form. The scaled passing score is 75 and
candidates are allowed five attempts to pass the
exam.

MPJE EXAM
The Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination is
applicable in case of California or any other specific
state requiring their additional test.
Fee for MJPE exam: $250.
Procedure for applying is, go to

and register yourself.
9. INTERN PHARMACIST
Working Days: Mon – Friday
Salary: $20 / hour
Registration as Regular: 1500
hours internship for registration
