Project Description:
POS (Point-of-sale)(Stand Alone Application) is the place where a retail transaction is completed. It is the
point at which a customer makes a payment to the merchant in exchange for goods or services. Alshaya
offers new card called Privilege card to their customer by which customer get better shopping experience
& benefits.
Enabling Exchange Transaction From Different Stores
When a customer buys the things from one store, if by any chance he wants to exchange the product from
the store he should go back to the same store and should do the exchange of the goods. But this
functionality gives the customer the flexibilty of exchanging the product from any of the store in the same
country.
Responsibilities:
• Configuration at the BOS side to enable this functionality.
• Calling Rest Full web service call for doing Exchange Transaction.
• Handling different responses from Service.
• Updating mobile number during transactions in store.
BOS(Back Office Server)(Web Based Application)

Project Description:
This is the server which is connected to all the POS machines in the store. All the credentials of the POS
are created from here such as assigning new employee in the store, Opening of the store, Closing of the
store, Communicating with the Enterprise Management System.

Project Description:
This is the system which stores all the transaction information from all the stores. Once the store is closed
all the data from the POS stored in the bulk is sent to the Enterprise Management. EM interacts with the
BOS to sends the updates of brands, promotions etc,It also interacts with many other different system to
get the various information.
Publish to Store
Whenever Alshaya gets a new brand from the vendor the same has to be updated to the POS
machine.Here publish to store modules enables to select the country and the stores in which the brand are
going to get updated.

Alshaya Stores Cash Collection

3. Project Description:
Alshaya Retail stores are operating across different regions in food and non food divisions. These
stores accept different modes of payments from the customers like cash (multiple currencies), voucher,
cheque etc. These physical currencies need to be collected from the stores requiring proper cash
management at stores including cash counting, storage, transfer, tracking, handover and deposit to 3rd
parties. The objective of this project is Central visibility of store cash management and Cash collection
performance measurement of Alshaya stores and other 3rd parties.
Responsibilties:
• Analyzed the Business Requirements Document, and involved designing and coding the business
layer logic in the Service classes.
• Implemented Persistent logic using Hibernate
