The purpose of this Project is that it is suppose to provide an overview of a business
plan for the establishment of a Restaurant by the name of "Kawaii Cafe"
3
Type of Business
Kawaii Café is a Partnership business operating in a Mixed Economy.
Nature of Business
Kawaii Café operates in the Food Industry.
Kawaii Cafe is a Maid cafe
Maid cafés are a subcategory of cosplay restaurants found predominantly in Japan. In
these cafés, waitresses dressed in maid costumes act as servants, and treat customers as
masters (and mistresses) in a private home, rather than as café patrons.
Mission Statement
Kawaii café is dedicated to bringing our customers the best quality Japanese food they
can find and at a reasonable price
4
Location
Kawaii Cafe will be located in Akihabara Japan.
The reason the business will be placed here is because Akihabara is a very populated
area
where adults and teenagers like to come and relax it is also a very popular tourist
destination to visitors of Japan.
5
Kawaii Cafe will be employing 20 workers 10 of which shall semi-skilled labourers
who will work upfront interacting with customers, taking orders etc. five (5) of the
workers shall be skilled these five workers shall work on preparing dishes and
presentation of the dishes. Two of the workers will manage the firm's money as it
relates to how much the business earns, how much the business can spend, how
much profit is made etc. Two(2) more workers shall be used for delivery services
meaning for those who are not able to reach the business the can call us and they
would have their meal delivered. and the last worker shall be an unskilled worker
who will clean up the business when it is time to close.
6
Sources Of Fixed Capital
Fixed capital is assets or capital investments that are needed to start up and conduct
business.
The money that would be used to start the business would come from the owners own
personal savings along with family inheritance and grants
Source of Working Capital
Working Capital is the capital of a business which is used in its day-to-day trading
operations,
For the working capital the owner would be using the money that the business make to
pay the workers along with acquiring a loan of 2.3 million dollars for the purchasing of
raw material and other items.
7
The
entrepreneur
organizes the
factors of production to create goods and services. The
most suitable location, qualified workers, and the right equipment and machinery will
ensure efficient production.
Therefore there is great importance that he makes the right decisions concerning the
employment of workers for his business.
8
The Type of
production that
Kawaii café is
involved with the secondary type of
production.
9
Kawaii Café
is involved
with the domestic aspect of production meaning that it
would only produce goods for the citizens of Japan and when the firm is largest
enough it will expand as to provide its service on a surplus level meaning
Internationally.
10
Two examples of quality control measures that the firm will carry out are:
1. A Deepfreezer. This will help to ensure that the all forms of meat and fish are
properly stored to prevent the food from going bad (spoilage)
2. Keeping an updated recorded of all the ingredients used to make sure that none
of the ingredients that are being used are expired or spoiled.
11
The business will have two Optiplex business class performance desktops
Our computers will be used for: purchasing raw materials online as well as keeping
track
of the firms profit, how much the firm has to spend on upgrades etc. The internet along
with local television and other international cable providers are used for the
advertising
of the business.
12
Kawaii Cafe will have a forward linkage with its customers as well as having a back
ward linkage with "Otaku Seven Cosplay designs" who will provide the business with
the costumes the workers will need.
13
Kawaii Cafe can grown both regionally and Internationally.
Ways in which Kawaii Cafe can grow regionally are:
 The Owners could set up more cafe's across Japan gaining more customers to
increase the businesses profits
 The business could advertise it self in all forms of media e.g television, radio
stations, social media etc.
Ways in which Kawaii Cafe can grow internationally are:
 The Owners could set up more cafe's across the world gaining more customers
to increase the businesses profits overseas
14
The business must be legally licensed to operate before it can be official opened to the
general public and to be legally licensed the firm must be passed by a health inspector
who has deemed the business legal to operate once he/she has checked the hygiene of
the environment along with the working conditions of the employees.
The owners of the business will ensure that all individuals who are employed in the
firm have a proper and valid food handlers permit which will be renewed when
required by the law.
These are but two of the government regulation that greatly affect the operation of the
business .e.g. If the health inspector realizes that one of the employee's food handlers
permit is not up-to-date the business will be forced to be closed down until said
employee has updated his/her food handlers permit.
15
Ethical issues involve right and wrong or what is considered good, and what is
considered evil in a society.
Ethical Issues in this business would be the transaction between Kawaii Cafe and other
organizations as well as how the firm disposes of its garbage so that it does not harm
the environment.
Also the firm shall not promote false advertising meaning whatever the food item the
firm advertises it shall be the exact same thing when customers come to the Cafe to
buy our goods
