of your friends and family – it is a
way of keeping people in your
heart.
I don’t have pictures of my family
who died in the genocide so I have
no way of remembering them.

4. I think young people make good
leaders.
A young person may have lots of
life views depending on their
experiences.
The more life experiences you
have, the better you can become.

6. The nation will benefit from youth
leaders.
Young people are the voice of the
next generation.

8. I am president of my young
people’s association.
Together we cultivate land and
grow beans, maize and cassava for
sale.
Our group is called ‘Umuhumuriza’
which means ‘somebody who
consoles’.
