This assignment was used in my Writing Across Platforms class. It is for the Mimic Intro Simulator, which is by Stukent.com. I am not affiliated with Stukent. But I did use their product in my class.

Mimic Pro SEM Competition
Summary
Turning it in: Complete it online in the stukent website. You don’t submit anything to Sakai
Getting Started:
Goto http://home.stukent.com/login
Login w/ your username and password.
Watch the “Mimic Intro & Round 1” video or you will be lost (no need to watch the
other video).
Start with the Mimic Intro simulator. You’ll have 2 classes to complete 2 rounds of the
simulator. Any additional time needed to complete must be done outside of class.
Grading Criteria:
This is a competition. Such is life. Sink or swim. Each student who successfully completes
the assignment will get a base grade of 85%. Additional points will be awarded to the
top 4 students in each round (meaning, possibly a total of 8 students. However, if a
student places in a round twice that student will get the below grade plus 5 bonus
points):
Top (105%)
2nd
place (100%)
3rd
place (95%)
4th
place (90%)
Everyone else: (85%)
Tasks:
Complete Round 1.
Review your results and tweak your content for round 2.
Since this is a contest, you will not receive advice on what they should change between
rounds.

Advice:
Use Word to capture your ad text and any content you want to save for the second
round. This is because the Intro version of Mimic doesn’t allow you to just go back and
tweak what you did in the first round, you have to start over in round two.
